Dear Member of the SMU Class of 2020,

Congratulations for being part of the Southern Methodist University Class of 2020. We are very pleased that you have decided to attend our University. The Office of Student Transitions & Orientation wants you to be a successful new student at SMU, so we are providing a new student program that is designed to help you experience a positive academic and personal transition into our University community.

To assist you with becoming acquainted with the institution and your fellow members of the incoming SMU class, the Office of Student Transitions & Orientation has started work on the annual Who’s New at SMU: New Student Book, a permanent photographic record for the Class of 2020. The 2016 Who’s New at SMU will contain photos and biographical information about your fellow classmates, supplemental resource information about the University, and a section to introduce you to some area services. The Book serves as a valuable resource for students, parents and families, and unlike Web-based social networks, it serves as an enduring commemorative photo archive of your first year at SMU. Since the Book is an important resource for the Office of Student Transitions & Orientation and for the University, please consider participating by submitting your photo to help us achieve a publication with 100% of the incoming new student class.

It’s time to submit your photo and information for The 2016 Who’s New at SMU New Student Book. To be included in Who’s New at SMU, we ask that each new student send a photo of him or herself to our contracted publisher (Main Campus Publications) by the deadline listed below. You may submit your photo and info online at www.maincampuspublications.com/smu

If you prefer to mail in your items, simply use the enclosed forms and envelopes to submit your listing and order student and parent/grandparent copies of Who's New or a Parent's WelCOMe TO SMU! Message via mail.

If you would also like to order your own student copy and/or parent and family copies of the Who's New at SMU New Student Book and/or a Parent's WelCOMe TO SMU! Message, simply place your order with this packet or online at www.maincampuspublications.com/smu. The online submission form also includes ordering information. The 2016 Who's New at SMU New Student Book will be mailed directly to you in early August prior to heading to campus for the beginning of the Fall 2016 academic semester.

The deadline for submission of photographs and for ordering copies and Parent's WelCOMe TO SMU! Messages for the Who's New at SMU New Student Book is July 8, 2016.

Dear SMU Parent,Congratulations on having your student entering the SMU New Student Class of 2016!

SMU's Office of Student Transitions & Orientation works with Main Campus Publications to publish the 2016 Who's New at SMU New Student Book.

In response to requests made by proud parents from other new student classes, Main Campus Publications has agreed to make available a limited number of congratulatory advertising spaces at a discounted rate exclusively for family members of incoming new students. If you would like to display your pride in your student's accomplishments or just simply print some words of encouragement, all you need to do is write your message as you would like it to appear in one of the actual ad-sized boxes below. We will professionally typeset and design your ad and publish it in the Book.

If you choose to take advantage of this opportunity, your cost is only $35 for a TEXT ONLY ad and $65 for a TEXT and PHOTO ad. Since the amount of space is limited, these ads will be accepted in the order they are received until we run out of space.
