Mission:To address unmet medical imaging needs and healthcare disparities for vulnerable and crisis-affected populations

Why MGH Imaging Global Health Programs?

• Medical imaging expertise is needed globally• Radiologists can play a larger role in global health and

outreach• Contribute to and collaborate with larger international

outreach efforts by other academic departments• Collaborate with efforts by professional societies (i.e. ACR,

RSNA, and ISR)• Continue the MGH Radiology tradition in contributing to

improving international health

Goals of MGH Imaging Global Health Programs

• Connecting members of our department with not only opportunities but also funding and grant opportunities in global outreach

• Support and develop the global health and outreach interests of trainees and faculty in our department

• Coordination and Collaboration with existing Harvard, Partners, and MGH centers and initiatives

needs of countries / clinical sites globally• Perform needs assessment for medical imaging in

underserved regions of the globe for NGO’s and for clinical sites (i.e. for equipment)
