St. Louis, MO: (DIMS) Dead Inventory Management System's first onlinemarketplace, Manufacturers' Inventory, is proud to announce they have reachedtheir 30th Seller on the site. DIMS was founded in 2011 with the same conceptof reselling idle electrical component level inventory online with a proprietaryhandheld scanner. 2013 has proven to be a big year of changes for thiscompany. Starting off the year with a new partnership group, the companybegan developing its cloudbased system of generating product descriptions at arate of 5,000 parts per hour. They were able to build out the Manufacturers'Inventory (MI) marketplace with the seed funding granted through the CapitalInnovators program. They have grown their customer base, hired their first setof employees, and had their first sales with the new marketplace. The onlinemarketplace and its features are fully functional, with over 3,000 products onthe site, valued upwards of $1.8M, with customers ranging from California, to

Wash U business students will be performingmanagement consulting projects for St. Louis earlystage ventures. Possible project ideas could bemarket analysis, competitive research,pricing/revenue model analysis, evaluation/exitanalysis, etc. Any company associated with ITEN,Arch Grants, TRex, or Cultivation Capital is eligibleto apply for student support. Please submit project nominations directly to BrianHarting at [email protected] by January 3rd. Project applications can be in simple email formatand should include the name of the company,
contact person and contact information, a onesentence description of the business, and a one tothree sentence description of the proposed project. The students will be asked rank their preferredprojects and the selected companies will be notifiedin midJanuary. Projects will be completed by thestudents by April 11.

the site, valued upwards of $1.8M, with customers ranging from California, toMontreal, Canada; consisting of primarily Electrical Distributors, and OriginalEquipment Manufacturers. Their innovative way of dealing with excess inventory has helped them reach anearly agreement with a MRO Supply management company; they manage over200 plants around the world and will use MI's services to help alleviate some ofthe estimated $200M worth of dead inventory from some of their customers. MI has signed on their first two Manufacturers' Representative organizations,covering four states, to help bring more customers to the site. As 2013 draws toa close and the manufacturing industry is tallying their inventory for yearendreports, they are expecting many more sellers to join the site at the start of theyear. Beginning in early 2014, DIMS will replicate the MI model to launch their secondonline marketplace to serve the commercial lighting industry. They havealready signed on multiple companies to use the site, who have excessinventory valued at over $1.2M. The marketplace will consist primarily ofcommercial fixtures, ballasts, and other various components. DIMS continues to develop new technological advances and features to add totheir marketplaces, including integration with Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems to allow for real time updates of quantities and automatic orderentry. DIMS is currently raising funding and always looking for resources andinterested parties help. About Dead Inventory Management System: they are a startup company basedout of St. Louis, MO. They have developed technology to quickly list, market,and sell large quantities of inventory online.
