Safety Focus in ITE’s Training
1. CSOC for all year 2 Nitec full time VT students before IA.
2. 1 module of 50 hours on ‘Lift Safety & Orientation’ for WLTD students
pitched at Construction Safety Supervisor & BizSAFE Level 2.
3. All modules have safety elements embed to contextualise safety
applications when covering the trade modules eg: Safety procedures to
access car door are taught under the topic “Maintain car door” in the “Lift &
Escalator System Maintenance” module.

4. Safety requirements from SS550, SS626 & WSHC Guidelines on safe
maintenance of lift & escalators are covered in our courses.
5. All practical tests have a compulsory to pass safety component.
6. Educate Sec students and public on the safe use of lifts and escalators
during our EIP, public workshops & ITE Fiesta.
