Co-op Education North Dakota Farmers Union’s summer camping program for grades 3-12 focuses on co-op education. Youth learn about the cooperative business model by organizing a camp store and selling refreshments, candy and other items. They elect a board of directors and manager at the beginning of every camp and conduct an annual meeting at the end of camp to dissolve the cooperative. Any profits earned are donated to a charity selected by the youth.Local day classes and activities on cooperative education for grades K-12 are also a big part of co-op education.
