It doesn’t matter where you come from. We will make it possible for you to have an excellent education through the Vaugirard Scholarship. Other financial assistance

programs that include scholarships, student assistantships, loans, and tuition discounts also provide opportunities for you to realize your dream of studying at

De La Salle University.

YES, you can study at DLSU.

In line with its mission of nurturing a community of distinguished scholars, De La Salle University launches the Vaugirard Scholarship Program. Through this scholarship, the University will provide fifty (50) new scholarships every year exclusively for students who graduated from Philippine public high schools. The scholarship program provides an opportunity for these students to access the Lasallian education through any baccalaureate degree program at DLSU.

Benefits of the Scholarship

Program

Selected scholars for the program will receive the following benefits and privileges:

• Full waiver of tuition, miscellaneous, and other fees (as indicated on the Enrollment Assessment Form) from the first term until the conclusion of any undergraduate program (excluding ladderized baccalaureate-master’s programs)

• Monthly stipend to cover modest accommodation subsidy, meals, allowance, and other expenses.

• An incentive equivalent to the stipend for one month for those graduating with Latin honors

• Other privileges (such as advance enrollment, waiver of adjustment fee, waiver of graduation fees, and the like)

VAUGIRARD

SCHOLARSHIP

PROGRAM The scholarship program is named after Vaugirard, France, the location where St. John Baptist de La Salle founded his first novitiate. The house in Vaugirard became a refuge and a place where the Christian Brothers deepen their spirituality, strengthen their relationships through fellowship and prayer, and renew the zeal to continue the mission of providing free education for all.

Founded in 1911, De La Salle University is an internationally recognized institution of higher learning with an established tradition of excellence and service. The University is a hub for higher education training renowned for its academic excellence, prolific and pioneering research, and empowering community engagement.

The University seeks to develop leadership quality in its students through a liberal Christian education. It adopted the Transformative Learning Framework, a path-breaking paradigm of instruction that is student-centered and geared towards the development of innovation scholars. Topnotch faculty members who are acknowledged experts in their respective fields engage students in multidisciplinary and collaborative research and other academic undertakings.

DLSU is acknowledged by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Center of Excellence in the fields of IT Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Teacher Education. The University is also a Center of Development in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.

La Salle is the only Philippine private university among the founding members of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), a prestigious organization composed of the top universities in the ASEAN, numbering from one to four in each member country.

ABOUT DLSUWith over a century of being a leading resource for God and Country, DLSU invites no less than the best and the brightest students to be part of its global Lasallian network.

UNIVERSITY LIFEThe DLSU campus is a crossroad of a diverse population of students who constantly engage in collaborative endeavors. To help new students adapt to college life, the University conducts an orientation program for freshmen before the start of an academic year. The annual Lasallian Personal Effectiveness Program introduces students to university life and builds their camaraderie early on.

Lasallians may choose from the over 60 student organizations wherein they can further develop their skills and knowledge, explore new interests, or get involved. In line with its thrust to provide a well-rounded quality education, DLSU through the offices under the Student Affairs implements a comprehensive student development program that covers the various interests of students - from publications and cultural activities to sports and community involvement.

A great idea was started by the Brothers of the Christian Schools over a century ago—the establishment of the first La Salle school in the Philippines in 1911. Today, De La Salle University continues to be a major resource of leaders and achievers in the various sectors of Philippine society.

The University runs on a trimestral calendar, with classes from May to August, September to December, and January to April. Summer classes are offered from April to May. The trimestral system is the University’s accelerated alternative to the traditional semestral academic calendar, and involves fast-tracked learning that prepares students for the pressures and demands of post-University life.

Envisioning its next 100 yers, DLSU is once again creating a great idea—the De La Salle University Science and Technology Complex (DLSU-STC).

Located adjacent to Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa City, the new Complex at the Leandro V. Locsin Campus is envisioned to become a major hub for scientific and technological advancements in the country.

The development for the new campus includes new academic buildings, state-of-the-art research centers, modern dorm facilities, and staff housing. With its proximity to the Laguna Technopark and commercial centers, it enjoys a vibrant and healthy urban-suburban mix that is expected to provide momentum for its development.

The Complex will promote research programs and projects in collaboration with international linkages as well as local industrial neighbors. As a future regional center for science and technology development, the DLSU-STC further underscores the Lasallian tradition that integrates faith and service through knowledge generation.
