Route Map: Manali-Leh-Manali
Day 0 Manali Night Halt @ Anant Maya
Once you arrive at Manali and check in to the
resort, spend your day at leisure and unwind before
the ensuing adventure. Meet your fellow explorers
over a pre-drive briefing later that evening, followed
by dinner.
Day 1 Manali - Jispa | 195kms Night Halt @ gumur camps
After breakfast, we begin our around 195 km journey to Jispa , crossing the popular rohtang pass on the way and a beautiful drive onwards with our first stop at Koksar for Lunch. We head to Jispa post lunch and arrive by evening to Gumur Camps, Jispa. We stay overnight and recharge ourselves for a long drive next day
Day 2 Jispa - Leh | 336kms Night Halt @ The Kaal
It's time to break our respective fast sand indulge in a hearty morning repast. We head to Leh crossing over a mid-halt point called Pang, we refuel ourselves and our vehicles for an uphill drive crossing the mountain desert and passes, Nakeela (15547 ft) is third High Altitude Himalayan Pass on Manali - Leh Highway which comes between the stretch on Sarchu and Whisky Nalla (BiskyNala). Lachung La(16,616 ft) is fourth High Altitude Himalayan Pass on Manali-Leh Highway which comes between the Stretch of Whisky Nalla and Pang. Tanglang La (17,480 ft) is Fifth High Altitude Himalayan Pass on Manali-Leh Highway Which between the stretch of Debring and Rumtse. We reach into Leh city by evening and refresh ourselves at The Kaal.
Day 3 Leh - Leh | 30 kms Night Halt @ The Kaal
You can wake up to the majestic mountains and snow covered peaks of Leh, overlooking from the windows of The Kaal. Enjoy a lavish buffet breakfast followed by a leisurely day, you can explore local market or drive to nearby popular spots as follows:

There is a special traditional lunch organized on this day, hence we meet up back on lunch and can again continue to explore local sites post lunch.
Day 4 Leh – Khardung LA 18,600ft – Hunder – Turtuk | 210 KMS
Night Halt @ Turtuk Holiday
Day 5 Turtuk – Shayok- Pangong| 187kms Night Halt @ nature nest
After breakfast In Turtuk, and we bid adieu to this
mystical and enchanted land. Then journey to
Pangong lake – “ 3 idiots fame”, with as top over
for lunch at Ashoor we head to Nature's Nest camp
at Pangong and we relax ourselves next to the lake
and among surrounded landscape .
Day 6 Pangong Tso – Chushul– Hanley | 190 Kms
Night Halt @ Homestays
Hanle Night Sky : You may have seen skies lit with
starts multiple times before but it is an entirely different
experience at Hanle. An annual rain plus snow precipitation
of less than 10 cm, low ambient temperatures, low humidity,
low concentration of atmospheric aerosols, low atmospheric
water vapor, dark nights and low pollution make Hanle a
perfect site for night sky-gazing. The clear view of the stars
above from Hanle is the reason why it was the chosen place
for Indian Astronomical Observatory.
Day 7 Hanley – Loma – Tso Moriri | 180kms
Night Halt @ Karzok Camps Situated in the Changtang wild
life sanctuary, this lake can be considered to be the twin sister
of the Pangonglake. It covers an area of 28 km. The lake is
surrounded by arid and barren mountains which covered with
snow, the place will definitely give you the feeling of peace.
The lake is also home to many migratory birds like the Brahmin
duck, brown-headed seagull, bareheaded goose, etc
Day 8 Tso Moriri – Debring – Manali - 380 KMS
Night Halt @ Anant Maya
We reach late evening to Manali, have a refreshing sleep and check out next morning followed by a farewell to each other with memories taken ahead and looking for future meetup.
Cost: 10-day, 9-night adventure including accommodation, breakfast,

instructors in lead and sweep vehicles will accompany the
guests on the journey.

Who Operates the Events? The Isuzu Discoveries Legends Series are operated by Mountain Goat Expeditions, who are licensed and authorized by Isuzu Motors India Ltd. When you make a booking you will enter into a contract with Mountain Goat Expeditions.
Who is eligible to participate? Indian nationals with privately registered Isuzu vehicles are eligible to participate by completing the documentation and paying the registration fee. The Organizers may accept or reject any registration and participant at their discretion.
Can children participate? Children above 10 can participate by paying the same registration charges as adults. Children Below 10 are not allowed.
Who is eligible to drive? All driving guests must be at least 18 years old and have a full valid driving license. No participant will be allowed to drive under the influence of alcohol.
Do I need any off road drive experience? Basic driving experience will suffice. There will be an expert instructor accompanying on each event who will provide expert guidance and reassurance, but each event is designed for drivers of all abilities.
How many participants can be in each vehicle? At the discretion of the participants subject to the vehicles carrying capacity for passengers and baggage.
Do we travel in a convoy? Yes, we will generally travel in convoy.
How many vehicles and guests will be accepted in the Events? The maximum group size of vehicles and guests for each event will be 15 vehicles and 30 guests respectively. This may however be lower for select events due to logistical reasons including where accommodation options are limited.
Do I need to arrange permits to be able to participate? Permits for the vehicles and participants will be arranged by the organizers. You need to have valid RC, pollution certificate and insurance for the same.
Do I need to have a certain level of physical
To participate in the event you should ensure that you do not know of any circumstances which would disqualify you from driving such as chronic back problems (or similar conditions), mental conditions which might impair your ability to drive, eyesight which doesn't meet the standards for driving, pregnancy or heart problems
What is included in the price of the event? General inclusions are as follows: convoy coordination and driving activities, twin sharing accommodation, breakfast, lunch & dinner, any permits and entry fees, cultural entertainment program, local guides and breakdown assistance.
What isn't included in the price of the event? Insurance of your Isuzu vehicle, any accidental damage, Spare parts for repairs, fuel & tolls, personal accident Insurances, tips, all personal expenses (e.g. alcohol, Mini bar in the hotel, spa treatments etc.) And any pre or Post-trip arrangements that deviate from the itinerary.
What happens if an event does not reach its minimum numbers? Will it be cancelled? We endeavor not to cancel any of our events but in some cases this may be inevitable. We reserve the right to cancel an event if minimum operating numbers have not been reached 4weeks before departure.
Are the itineraries and accommodation confirmed? Your itinerary and accommodation are subject to change based on availability. We reserve the right to replace the itinerary and accommodation with similar alternatives.
Can I join other participants on the drive to Manali? Participants wishing to drive together to Manali can join of official convoys that have been planned from Delhi/Chandigarh in the North. Details of the same are available on request.
Can arrangements be made for the transportation of my vehicle? Subject to a full load of 5-6 vehicles, car carriers can be arranged on as haring basis from Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore to transport vehicles to Delhi and back. Charges for transportation will be available on request. All such services will be at the risk of the participants.
What is the cancellation policy? The charges paid will be refunded in case the registration is rejected by the Organizers or in case the event is cancelled by the Organizers. The charges will NOT be refunded for ANY OTHER reason.
