In previous years the Leaders attended a luncheon at Sophia’s to say thank you for all their hard work. However, this year there will be a special presentation during their pancake morning tea that will highlight their roles and responsibilities this year. Each year I am trying to ‘change up’ these events for
the grade 6s. Last year the morning tea was a huge success and I again would like to thank Yvonne Bevan and Karen Cassar for all their work in preparation for this morning tea. Xmas Starting next week the teachers will begin celebrating Xmas in their classrooms. It is an exciting time for the children and one I know we all look forward to. Teachers are sending out notices re: Xmas parties etc. very soon. It is a joyous time of year. Reports/Magazine/Grade Placements On Friday 16th December, reports, the magazine and your child’s grade placement for 2017 will be sent home. The magazine looks amazing! Thank you Stuart Jones and Morgan Clohesy for all your hard work putting this together. The children will meet their 2017 teacher at 10am on Monday the 19th December. End of Year As this is the last newsletter for the year. I would like to thank the community as a whole for an excellent year. Dorset is going from strength to strength. The atmosphere around the school is very positive and the children are really thriving in this environment. On a personal note, I truly appreciate the kind words of support and encouragement throughout the year and cherish the informal chats I have with the parent community. The holidays are a great time to relax and re-energise so I hope you all have a relaxing holiday, joyous Christmas and a happy new year. Regards, Palma Coppa Principal
