    Welcome back to ISM! We hope you enjoyed the break with your family and friends. We have some exciting

    weeks ahead of us to finish off the semester.

    Second season try-outs for Basketball, Rugby and Tennis begin on Wednesday, November 2. You must attend

    all try-outs to earn a spot on the team. Good luck!

    This Saturday, November 5, there is another great Saturday Service outing. This time students will be headed

    to the GK777 site to help build houses. See Ms. Lim to sign up or ask in the MS Guidance Office for more infor-

    mation.

    FROM THE ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES OFFICEIt is IASAS week and I would like to wish all our teams the verybest for this years 30th anniversary tournaments in Singa-pore. All the ISM community will be supporting our teams as theydo their very best to play hard and represent ISM to the very bestof their ability on and off the field of play during this exciting event.

    For interested community members, the 1stSeason IASAS fulltournament draw is available with details of all events on the ATACblog. SAS will be live streaming the IASAS championships.

    Check out www.iasas.asia to find the live streaming sites. Allthe action started Thursday morning, October 20th.

    Well done to our Bearcats Golf Team who participated inTaipei last weekend at the IASAS Golf Exchange two day tourna-ment. Our girls team won GOLD with Angela De Villa (72,78) andMika Kubota (84, 84) shooting terrific scores to take out the teamaward and also place 2nd and 3rd in the individual awards. Ourboys team placed 6th and I would like to thank all participants andour golf advisors for taking part in this years event.

    ISM Varsity Boys soccer played Ateneo last Friday, October 14, inthe RIFA boys Elite division semi-final and in a thrilling game won 2-1. They will now play in the championship final on Friday Nov 4thhere at ISM at 5:15 P.M.

    The JV girls soccer team played their final last Saturday of the girlsdivision 2 vs. ICA and lost 1-2 in a close game. Well done to allplayers and coaches Mr. Cooling and Mr. Reilly for their efforts thisseason.

    ES/MS Soccer Festival Results: ISM Midgets C-Coach Ericsteam placed 3rd, ISM ES Midgets E-Coach Franciss team placed1st-congratulations! and Midgets G, Coach Mikes team placed3rd. MS Girls festival teams of Coach Kleng and Coach Chrisplaced 2nd and 3rd in the finals last Saturday afternoon at Xavier.A big thanks to all players/coaches and parents who attended theRIFA Festival Finals held at Xavier and ISM.
