EYP Armenia started from the ideato do something more for Armenian and European Youth. Active youngsters gatheredand start this unique initiative in Armenia. Only in a month there were 200 volunteerswho wanted to join EYP. In June, the 1st National Selection Conferenceof EYP Armenia have been organized. EYP Armenia has serious future plans and youshould check the interview with SuzannaShamakhyan to be informed. EYP Armenia has the board consisting of 7 amazing and motivated person.

I am pretty sure that every person who is going to visit a new country has a little or big information about it, so did we. On our way to Yerevan we were talking a lot, changing information, facts, every little details, some of us knew more, some less but at the end we are came to an idea that we were going to visit a beautiful country with very hospitable people, butwhat we saw exceed all expectations. Yerevan is not just simply beautiful, it is amazing and wonderful, with all its stunning places.The Armenian people’s capital is like a jewel in the region where ancient culture is mixed with modern lifestyle and great traditions It is the perfect urban vacation spot with great restaurants,cozy cafes. A great way of exploring the town is walking on the nice summer evenings. As far as Iam concerned, the most visited place is Cascade Complex. It is an interesting structure with escalators going up to the Victory Monument. The exterior of Cascade has multiple levels with fountains and sculptures. It is impossible to talk about Yerevan and do not mention how hospitable, friendly and sweet Armenian people are. We will remember every single smile of you and every warm word from youforever.

Interview with the President of EYP Armenia Suzanna Shamakhyan

1. Introduce yourselfI am young lawyer passionate about sharing my experience,knowledge and motivation with other and gaining new fromthem. I enjoy exploring places, peoples, cultures, colors and finding new interests. 2. How it feels to be a president of EYP Armenia?Inspiring! (INDEED)3. Future plans of EYP ArmeniaWe are already planning the next National Selection Conference that will be held in autumn2013. As for 2014, we plan to organize several regional sessions and most importantly, international forum in autumn. We foresee involvement of at least 400 young people next year. In the meantime, we will be organizing other educational projects, trainings and festivalsfor youth. 4. What would you say to the youngsters are getting involved in EYP?Be motivated, be creative and participate! Today each one of you has a chance, you just need tochoose where to start from!

Vice- President of EYP Armenia, President of the 1st NSCof EYP Armenia, one of the Head-Organize of the 1st NSC.Take a deep breath and meet Hovsep Patvakanyan. Duringthe session I was so impressed with his motivation and dedication to the session. It seems that this guy is addictedto EYP and will try his best to make each upcoming sessionunique and memorable. You should check out his Facebookaccount and will find out how talented, friendly and handsomehe is. As I have already mentioned, he was one of the Head Organizer of the session and we asked him some interesting questions about the session and organizing period. Bellow you will see what he said:“We have started preparing for the conference in the middle of May, and as a result the open call received huge amount ofapplications coming from Armenia, Georgia, Albania , Macedonia, Austria, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Netherlands. As a result, 100 delegates were chosen to participate in the upcoming session. The most difficult thing was to coordinate the committees, since most of delegates were participating for the first time. They were all asking many questions concerning the format of the conference, their role. It was very hard to gather chairs before the session, since we all were working full-time and this was a challenge which I am proud to call overcome.”

“Luck is believing you’re lucky”

More than 90 the most active delegates, conference hall, too many attackspeeches, direct responses, debates. Yeah,I am talking about the GeneralAssembly of the 1st NSC of EYP Armenia . It was said that the delegation of 3people would be chosen based on the voting to represent Armenia at the 74th

International Session of EYP, in Tbilisi.(October 4-13) And it was time to vote forthe best ones. Selection procedure was quite hard and at last, the president of the session named the luckiest ones who got the “ticket” to the IS. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to Nina Kankanyan, Samson Martirosyan and AlenShadunts. I still remember their happy faces and other participants clapping and congratulating them.

These 3 delegates have still much time to prepare for the most amazing days of their life. It is obvious, luck is not onlybelieving that you are lucky. You need to be hard working and active to reach the success. And they did. Congratulate onceagain and wish them good luck on the 74th International Session of the European Youth Parliament.

“And 1st National Selection Conference of EYP Armenia isofficially closed”. I was sitting on the Closing Ceremony,listening to these words and was thinking to myself: “ I willmiss these days, these people, this session.” We were all backto our usual life but still. Participants of the 1st NSC of EYPArmenia were so impressed that they could not stopthemselves from expressing their feelings, emotions.Journalists delved into the Facebook group of the session and let’ssee together what did they find:
