News from the Principal CANTEEN Families are reminded that the canteen is closed on Mondays and is open for lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The canteen is not open on any day at recess. If you are able to volunteer in the canteen, please contact the school. We are always looking for extra volunteers to help out and we welcome mums, dads and grandparents to be part of our wonderful canteen team! P&C MEETING We have a P&C meeting on Tuesday, 20th of October at 1:45pm. All are welcome to attend. SPRING FAIR The Spring Fair on Saturday was a huge success for our school community and it was great to see so many of our families, past families and community members joining in the fun and supporting this major fundraiser for the school. Thank you to our Community Liaison Officer, Michelle Anthony, and the Spring Fair Committee for ensuring the Fair was a success. A big thank you also to all the staff and their families for supporting this event, and helping to look after and run the stalls. The final figure for monies raised will be published in next week's newsletter.

THE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER The School Photographer will be here this Thursday, 15th October. Envelopes for orders were sent home last week. If you wish to order sibling photos, please contact the office for a “sibling photographs” envelope. You can pay the School Photographer online or enclose your payment in the order envelope. Other News BONGIL BONGIL PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION Last term students who were selected as finalists from each Stage presented a speech to the whole school in the William Bayldon Public Speaking Competition. The winners from each Stage were: Early Stage 1 Tarni Batton Alana Williams Stage 1 Summah Herbert Trinity Deland Stage 2 Lily Davies-Jamieson Josh Seccombe Stage 3 Kiara Bellenger Bryn Booker These students will now go on to represent the school at the Bongil Bongil Public Speaking Competition which will be held at Toormina Public School on Wednesday, 21st October. We wish all students the best of luck.
