“WRAPPING UP” THE YEAR!

Wow! It has been a fast paced year! We can’t believe it is al-

ready almost the end. Let’s first welcome back Tom as our restaurant

manager! There have been many changes within Universal Orlando

Resorts and Parks this year. There has been tremendous growth in City-

walk as well, with the opening of Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and

Savory Feast Kitchen and others changes inside the parks. Such as the

opening of a second Auntie Anne’s location at Islands of Adventure. It

is time to celebrate the year with Universal’s annual Macy’s Parade,

Grinchmas and Citywalk’s Eve Spectacular. More details about parades,

holiday booklet block-out dates and show times inside this issue. Let us

celebrate not only our guests but all of our fellow team members! Let’s

also welcome Betty to the team! Hope everyone has safe and happy hol-

idays!

The Grinchmas holiday spectacular is back! The Grinch is back in

Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure and brought back his famous

live show, the “Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular,” featuring the Whos

from Who-ville. Show times can be found at-

guides. Watch the show and relive your childhood memories. Meet the

Grinch is also back! During select times, guests can shake his furry

hand, get his autograph and take a photo with the Grinch and the Who-

villains.

The Grinch™ & Friends Character Breakfast is also back!

On select dates in December, (3-4, 8-11, 15-18, 21-25) guests can join

the Grinch in a live character breakfast. The breakfast is a priceless hol-

iday memory our guests will never forget, and they’ll have the photos to

three day event will celebrate all

Harry Potter fans. This fourth

annual event offers guests the

opportunity to immerse them-

selves in a full Harry Potter

world experience and purchase

special merchandise. This year’s

A Celebration of Harry Potter™

will give guests the opportunity

to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s Wiz-

arding World with a variety of

exclusive experiences and attend

the largest Harry Potter™ Expo

in event history, featuring more

partners and immersive exhibits

than ever before. Expo participants will

include: Warner Bros. Studio Tour

London, Harry Potter™: The Exhibi-

tion, Pottermore and Audible, MinaLi-

ma, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,

Scholastic, Google Daydream and

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

For the first time ever, Professor Flit-

wick and Girphook (otherwise known

as Warwick Davis) will attend the event

and participate in festivities, as well as

film star Matthew Lewis ( otherwise

known as Neville Longbottom). More

special celebrities and festivities to be

released later on. For our guests, access

to A Celebration of Harry Potter™ is

included with regular theme park ad-

mission or with an annual or seasonal

pass.

HOLIDAY PAY FOR THE END OF THE YEAR

DUE TO THE HOLIDAY, PAYDAY IS SCHEDULED AT A DIFFERENT DATE THAN NORMAL. PAYDAY WILL OCCUR DECEMBER 22 WITH NO OFF-CYCLES DECEMBER 26-30.

MACY’S HOLIDAY PARADE™

The best parade is back at Universal Studios! This holiday spectacular

features marching bands, clowns, all your favorite mascots, creative

floats and an appearance by Santa himself! And as part of the parade,

join Santa for the amazing tree lighting ceremony with music and a

bright display of lights!

Parade begins at 5:00pm on nights for December 3, 2016 – Decem-

ber 18, 2016

Parade begins at 8:00pm on nights for December 19, 2016 – Janu-

ary 1, 2017

The team member holiday coupon booklets are blocked out from

now until January 4th, 2017.

The booklets are only effective for parties of four or less.

NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATION

We would like to thank all the hosts for a great year! Thank you all

for adapting the changes over the last year. We are all excited about our

new menus too! There is a new Standard Operating Procedure for V.I.P

reservations. You MUST get a manager as soon as you take the reserva-

tion. If there is a manager available please let them take the reserva-

tion. If they are not available no-

tify them immediately after tak-

ing the reservation. In addition,

we are not taking reservations

from the 24th to the 31st. Ask a

NEW ZOMATO APP!

MONTHLY HOST FOCUS

Gone are the days of Nextable! We are enthused to introduced the new

host app, Zomato. This new app is very similar to Nextable but with

added features. The new app will allow us to better serve our guests and

hopefully have less connective and syncing issues. We are thankful for

everyone learning to adapt to the new app and if you have any ques-

tions ask a fellow host or manager.
