Dear Parents of 2020 Foundation Students, On behalf of the Sandringham East Primary School (SEPS) community we would like to take this opportunity to welcome your family to our school. This is the first of two SEPS Foundation transition newsletters, which is emailed to parents who have enrolled their child to commence at SEPS in the 2020 Foundation program. As part of our commu- nication processes, the second and final newslet- ter will be emailed to you towards the middle of Term 4. We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have attended our recent transition story-time sessions. If you have been unable to at- tend these, there is no need for concern as there will be a number of additional transition events held during Term 4. We are looking forward to a wonderful partner- ship as your child commences their 7 year journey at our great school. Dear Parents of 2020 Foundation Students,

On behalf of the Sandringham East Primary

School (SEPS) community we would like to take

this opportunity to welcome your family to our

school.

This is the first of two SEPS Foundation transition

newsletters, which is emailed to parents who have

enrolled their child to commence at SEPS in the

2020 Foundation program. As part of our commu-

SEPS Newsletter

Below you will find a link to our ‘2020 Foundation Students Transition Questionnaire’. This question-

naire provides the Foundation teaching team with valuable information to support your child

with the transition from preschool to school. Additionally the information provided will assist with

the class placement of your child for the 2020 school year. Click here to complete.

Parents are requested to complete the questionnaire by Friday October 11th.

The SEPS school newsletter is distributed weekly to current parents. If you would like to preview

our latest edition please click on ‘Online Newsletter’ link, which is located on the front page of

our school website.

Currently, at SEPS, there is a buzz of excitement with all our building projects now completed. Our

Level 4, 5, & 6 students are enjoying their learning spaces in our brand new senior school

building. The new stadium, canteen, Visual and Performing Arts spaces are looking fantastic.

During playtimes, the children have been loving playing in their new play areas and our

current Foundation children have settled into their double storey classrooms. Below are some

snapshots, but we can’t wait for you to see it all!

Compass School Manager is the means of instant communication that is used by SEPS

to inform the school community of events, updates and weekly newsletters.

All 2020 Foundation families are encouraged to download the Compass smart phone

app in preparation for Term 1 2020.

Please note: Full access to Compass will be restricted until you receive your unique user ID and

password. This information will be provided to you at the Parent Information Evening on Wed

27th November. If you are unable to attend, your information will be posted the following week.

SCHOOL BAG & 2020 FOUNDATION POLO TOPS

SEPS school bags and our wonderful Sandy East Polos (see photo) are

available for purchase from the school office. These cannot be pur-

chased via PSW. They are only available from the school office.

SEPS school bags are $65.00 and Sandy East Polos are $25.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Primary School Wear (PSW) supply our school uniform online and at their store located at 15 Mills

Street Cheltenham. It is advisable to start shopping for your child’s school uniform now so that

PSW can ensure stock availability ready for the commencement of the Foundation year. PSW

has a variety of school uniform options, please see examples below.

Please note: You are not required to purchase every item, however sun hat and take home fold-

er are compulsory. Below are some examples of our SEPS school uniform.

Visit the Specialist Areas

Foundation Afternoon Tea Party

The Foundation Afternoon Tea Party provides children with the opportunity to socialise

with other children and enjoy the school grounds, play equipment and organised

activities. The afternoon also provides parents with a wonderful opportunity to meet

other parents. Afternoon tea is provided for all children and parents.

Our 2nd Hand uniform shop will also be open prior to this event from 3:30pm.

Information Evening for parents of 2020 Foundation children - Parent only session

2020 Foundation parents are invited to attend an information session on starting school,

the Foundation learning program, and the SEPS community, in our new stadium.

prior to this from 9am.

Education and Performing Arts activities.

Children meet their 2020 level six buddy.

No parent session during this transition activity.

Parents are welcome to stay in our school

grounds during this time.

Session 2 - Meet the Teacher

Children meet their 2020 teacher.

No parent session during this transition activity.

Perhaps time for a cuppa with friends at our
