This year’s volunteer call for the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier presented by AGI has been answered by a strong Kingston community spirit with over three hundred registered volunteers, however, each of the committees still need volunteers. Let your family, friends and neighbours know about volunteering and how they can experience the excitement of the event. We want to thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment to the success of the event.

Now that you are signed up as a volunteer, you may be asking yourself “what comes next?”. Please review the outline below to learn what is required of you as an event volunteer.

2020 TIM HORTONS BRIER Welcome to the Volunteer Committee!

ISSUE 1: AUGUST 2019 – WELCOME ABOARD FEB 29 - MAR 8 | LEON’S CENTRE

Attend a Local Community Event. The event office will be sending call outs asking volunteers to assist with events around the community. If there are any events that you think we can be a part of please email Amanda at amanda.mackenzie@curling.ca with contact information.

Attend the Volunteer Rally. A volunteer rally will take place (date to be determined) where you will pick up your volunteer kit. Your kit includes your volunteer pin, accreditation pass, volunteer handbook and volunteer uniform. There will be more information about this rally in upcoming newsletters.

Attend the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier. After the volunteer rally, the final step is volunteering at the event! You will receive your volunteer schedule before the event, with all of the shifts that you are assigned. Remember that upon signing up, volunteers make a commitment of 30 hours and may be scheduled for up to that amount. If you have scheduling restrictions or preferences it is important to let your director know before they begin scheduling.

Have Fun! Above all else, we want to ensure that every volunteer enjoys themselves and that this Canadian Championship is an experience to enjoy and remember!
