I urge everyone to be better informed and

to share with friends and neighbors facts about

the situation in the Middle East and Israel.

Just by visiting some of the following websites

sorely ignored by most of the popular media.

SpeciÞcally,pleasevisitthewebsitesof:¥AIPAC,theAmericanIsraelPublicAȔairs

of institutions and infrastructures they control.

in the media and on many college campuses is

ofextremeimportance.PleaseknowthatyourvoicemakesadiȔerence!

BÕvrakhah,

Rabbi Rick Rheins

IsraelNeedsUsNothing is more frustrating than to sit

safelyandcomfortablyinourAmericanhomesandwatchwhileIsraelÕssafetyandsecurityarethreatened.WewatchascluelessreportersinterviewHamasterroristsandawideassortmentofboilerplateanti-Semitesstraight from central casting who are paraded

infrontofthecamerastospoutbald-facedliesaboutIsraelandJews.WeÕveseenthisobscenedisplaytimeandagaininourlonghistory.WeÕvewitnessed practiced deceit foisted on the world

by those trained in perpetrating the big lie. The

Nazisperfectedit, buttherearemanymodernday copycats who are tirelessly trotting out

their clumsy imitations. Europe is still rife with

anti-Semitism,buttheMuslimfundamentalistsintheMiddleEastandAsiaarecraftingtheirown virulent strain of that old poison. That

somanyAmericanreportersarewitting(orunwitting) accomplices of passing on hysterical

lies about Israel and calumnious swipes against

Judaism is a tragic indictment on the esteemed

andvitalfourthestateofdemocracy.Afreeand knowledgeable press is essential for all

freesocieties.WoetothisgenerationthatissubjectedtothemediaÒpersonalitiesÓintheAmericanandEuropeanpressestablishmentwho have sold out Israel for a pocket full of

ratings, proÞtsandthepitifuldisregardoftruthin exchange for loyalty to the Journalism 101

directiveÒifitbleeds,itleads.ÓFortunately,mostoftheAmericanpublic

recognizesandrejectsthemediacanardsthatcondemn Israel for defending herself against an

onslaughtofthousandsofmissilesÞredagainstherbythePalestinians.Whatothernationonearthsendsleaßetsandmakeswarningphonecalls to enemy combatants in order to lessen the

numberofcollateralinjuries?Indeed, noothernation has ever gone to such length as Israel has

to reduce the number of casualties among those

enemies who are feverishly trying to destroy

it.AmericansseewhatIsraelisupagainstandtheyinstinctivelyknowthatIsraelÕsenemiesarethesamepeoplewhohatetheUnitedStatesofAmericaandeveryotherfreeanddemocraticnation.AmericansknowthatIsraelisonthevanguard,defendingthehopeforapeaceful,respectful,egalitarianfuturethatisunderviciousattack by a medieval horde bent on spreading

a vision of oppression and fundamentalist

intolerance.AmericansknowwhatIsraelisupagainst, andpollafterpollshowsthatAmericansare overwhelmingly in support of Israel. But we

cannottakeforgrantedthissupport!
