the United States to teach, conduct research, and perform on university campuses.
Visiting Israeli faculty and artists are available to give talks and performances on
campus and in the wider community.
Below is a list of visiting faculty and artists who will be on campus during the 2018-
2019 school year. Israel Institute visiting faculty are drawn from highly respected
universities, colleges, and research institutions. They come from a wide variety
of disciplines, including political science, history, sociology, anthropology,
communication, and economics. Likewise, among our visiting artists are
filmmakers, choreographers, musicians, and authors who represent the best of
Israel’s vibrant cultural scene.

Kerer is an independent dancer, performer, and choreographer based in Tel Aviv who, in 2011, won the first prize in the Israeli Curtain Up Festival.

Elias is an internationally celebrated oud player, violinist, and composer, and is regarded as the leading figure in classical Arab music in Israel.

Rasooly’s theatrical language is based on a multidisciplinary approach, combining different forms of theatre, puppetry, visual art, and music.

Kopelman is a composer and pianist, and is one of the youngest-ever recipients of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Prize for Composition (2007).
