PUZZLEDuration: 5 MonthsProgram Dates: Sept 2009 - Jan 2010; Feb 2010 - June 2010 ProgramProgram Cost: $7,000Cost after MASA Grant: $4,000One program, three meaningful experiences. Puzzle is a unique five-month program for college graduates built uponthree fundamental components of a complete Israel experience. While on Puzzle, participants experience Israel withIsraelis, volunteer for two months at MADA or on Marva, take a one-month hiking adventure along Israel’s NationalHiking Trail, and join the Israeli Academy for Leadership for a two-month learning program that fosters the developmentof personal and national identity and responsibility. TIKKUN OLAM IN TEL AVIV-JAFFADuration: 5 or 10 monthsProgram Dates: Sept 2009 – June 2010 (10 month program); Sept 2009 – Jan 2010 (Fall Semester); Feb – June2010 (Spring Semester)Program Cost: 5 months — $5,500; 10 months — $8,500Program Cost After MASA Grant: 5 months — $2,500; 10 months — $4,000Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, a volunteer and study experience for Jewish English speakers aged 22-27, offersparticipants both community service and coexistence program options. Those who choose the community servicetrack live in South Tel Aviv and work with new immigrants to Israel, foreign workers and refugees from Darfurand elsewhere. Those who choose the coexistence track live in Jaffa and volunteer in organizations that promotecoexistence among Arabs and Jews. Participants in both tracks partake in intensive Hebrew study (ulpan) and tripsaround Israel, and are welcomed into Bina and The Daniel Centers’ communities of young Israelis. WUJS JERUSALEM LEARNINGDuration: 6 MonthsProgram Dates: Mar – Aug 2009; Aug 2009 – Feb 2010Program Cost: $7,600Program Cost After MASA Grant: $4,600The WUJS Jerusalem Learning program is a deep and engaging Jewish studies experience. The Jerusalem Ulpan(Hebrew language) program coupled with extensive courses in Judaism and Zionism are all conducted in a pluralist,open minded that incorporates time in the classroom, weekly field trips, overnight hikes, meetings with Israeli peers,volunteer options and a variety of fun and enriching activities. WHAT IS MASA ISRAEL JOURNEY?

MASA is a unique organization that gives young Jewish adults, aged 18–30, the chance to build lastingrelationships with Israel, strengthen their Jewish identities and gain meaningful experiences through one of morethan 160 long-term Israel programs. In addition to a wide variety of program opportunities, MASA offers grantsand scholarships to help participants cover program fees. MASA also provides support, activities, workshops,and resources to assist participants during their stay in Israel. Since 2004, MASA has been a catalystin the development of new and exciting, quality programs that express the multi-faceted experience of Israel.
