ISLAMIC FINANCIAL PLANNER MASTERCLASS
16—18 JUNE 2020
This module is designed to prepare candidates to become a competent financial planner capable of meeting the financial needs of the clients in conformity to Shariah. Candidates are provided with relevant Shariah and regulatory frameworks, systematic processes, technical knowledge, skills and tools necessary to develop a comprehensive Islamic financial plan and able to deliver advisory services to clients. Plan construction and case studies will cover the key Islamic financial planning components consisting of cash flow and liability management, risk management and Takaful, Islamic investment, Zakāh and tax, retirement, Islamic estate and Waqf. Candidates will also be able to practice the ethics and professional responsibilities of an Islamic financial planner.

Programme Leaders
Hajjah Zarinah Mohd Yusoff is an
Academic Fellow at IIUM Institute of
Islamic Banking and Finance. She is also
a trainer, module writer and book
author, specializing in Islamic Financial
Planning and Wealth Management
areas. She had co-wrote two books;
Islamic Financial Planning and Wealth
Management (2013) and Islamic
Investment Planning (2014), published by
IBFIM.
Hajjah Zarinah is a Certified Financial
Planner (CFP) and also an Islamic
Financial Planner (IFP). She is also a
Certified Trainer under Human Resource
Development Fund (HRDF). She holds
an MBA, specializing in Islamic Banking
and Finance from IIUM and a Bachelor
of Accounting from UUM. Hajjah Zarinah
has 25 years of experience in financial
industry - she was involved in
investment analysis, product
development, Shariah audit and learning
and development.
Shahizan Bin Md. Noh is a Resident
Expert in Islamic Wealth Management
and currently holding a position of
Head/Lead Consultant in Instructional
Design & Partnership at IBFIM.
Professionally, he is a Chartered
Accountant (CA) under Malaysian
Institute of Accountant (MIA) and
obtained an Islamic Financial Planner
(IFP®) certification from Financial
Planning Association of Malaysia
(FPAM) and Certified Qualification in
Islamic Finance - Wealth Management
(CQIF-WM) from IBFIM.
He holds a Master in Muamalat
Administration from Universiti Sains
Islam Malaysia (USIM) and currently is
pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in
Islamic Economics and Muamalat
Administration at the same university.
He is a trainer and lecturer on several
finance areas namely accounting and
audit, Islamic wealth management,
zakat & tax planning etc. He has two
publications namely, Islamic Financial
Planning and Wealth Management
(2013) and Zakat Management and
Taxation Planning (2014), both
