Business Resilience and Disaster Recovery professional with over 34 years of

professional experience and a distinguished career in enterprise risk

management, business continuity, disaster recovery, continuity of operations,

and crisis management programme. Earlier successes in making strategic

executive decisions as Commander of the Indian Navy in dealing with crisis

situations and natural disasters, have led to career achievements in the

financial industry directing response teams, providing innovative and tactical

solutions in the areas of emergency response management, threats and risk

assessment, information security, business continuity planning, staff safety,

and formulation of disaster recovery plans.

IC has worked previously for Royal Bank of Scotland Business Services India

and ABN AMRO Bank as Vice President and Head of Business Continuity &and ABN AMRO Bank as Vice President and Head of Business Continuity &

Resilience for 8 years. He is passionate about leveraging innovative

technological solutions to make continuous improvement in process and

practices and had established “Center of Excellence (CoE) ” in India for

assurance of BC Documents. He was instrumental in implementing and

obtaining BS 25999 and ISO 22301(BCMS) Certification for RBS Business

Services India. IC was awarded with “Certificate of Excellence” by RBS

Country Executive for successful management of two parallel crisis namely

Terrorist Attack in Mumbai 26/11 and flooding of RBS site at Chennai due to

severe cyclonic storm in year 2008. He has also won prestigious “BCI Asia

Business Continuity Award for Innovation of Product and Services” in

year 2011 at Singapore and led his BCM Team of RBS Business Services

India to get shortlisted in the category of “BCM Team of Year” award at BCI

Global Award Ceremony in London in year 2012. IC has a proven track record

of successful and timely closure of Business Continuity / Resilience projects

for Banking and divergent industries across GCC (Gulf Region) as an

Independent Chief Business Continuity / Resilience Consultant.

IC is a Post Graduate in Organic Chemistry followed by Business

Administration PGDM Course from one of the most prestigious Business

School in India – IIM Ahmedabad. His professional qualification includes BCI

certified (UK), DRII certified (US), BCMI certified (Asia) Lead Auditor BS

25999, ISO 22301:2012 (BCMS), ISO 27001:2013 (ISMS) & ISO 9001: 2015

(QMS).
