PREFACE

Directory of Construction Materials has been published by the National Construction council on an annual basis since 2003 to provide a locational tool for construction materials for all stakeholders needing to know where to get what.

The Directory is also a marketing tool for construction materials producers/suppliers because after publication it is distributed free of charge to potential buyers of such materials.

We are now publishing the eighth edition which has included a total of 404 companies producing or supplying various types of construction materials

We urge those who have never listed their products and/or services to do so in the coming issue.

We also encourage those who have been listing their products to continue doing so and add any new products available. Continued support from all stakeholders in publishing this document is of prime importance and will be highly appreciated.

NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COUNCIL(BARAZA LA TAIFA LA UJENZI)

The National Construction Council (NCC) is a government institution established through Act of

high quality HDPE and uPVC pipes to the East African market. Plasco is ISO 9001:2008 certified by SGS/UKAS. Its products are

certified by the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) and the KIWA Gastec Certification Laboratories, Netherlands.

Plasco manufactures HDPE pressure pipes to ISO4427 & ISO4437 standards using only high quality PE 100 and PE 80 virgin raw

materials. These HDPE pipes ranging in outside diameter from 16mm to 630mm with pressure ratings up to PN20 are available in

coils and straight lengths. Typical applications include Water supply, Gas distribution, Slurry/Process fluid transport and Telecom

ducting.

Plasco manufactures uPVC pressure pipes to ISO1452 standard with a socketed-end and supplied complete with a pressure lock

rubber seal for a superior joint. The derived products are ideally suited for applications in both pumping and gravity design. The

uPVC product range includes Pressure Pipes, Sewage Pipes, Slotted Drainage Pipes, Borehole Casings, and Wastewater Down

Pipes.

Plasco specializes in manufacturing custom-made PE fabricated fittings up to 630mm diameter in accordance with ISO 4427-Part

3 and ISO 4437-Part 3 standards respectively. Plasco can also supply PE Moulded, PE Electro fusion, Compression, PVC and Steel

fittings (Valves and Flanges) enabling it to offer a complete piping system solution to its clients.
