Patriots Day

Patriots Day is a very special day in Massachusetts and Maine. This

holiday is celebrated the third Monday in April. The people of Boston and

other parts of Massachusetts celebrate Patriots Day in very special ways.

Boston celebrates Patriots Day by having the Boston Marathon. The

Boston Marathon is a huge race that thousands of people go to see. Other

towns and cities celebrate this holiday by having parades, and

ceremonies. Boston and the other towns and cities also have

reenactments. They have reenactments of the American Revolutionary

war. They reenact this war because this holiday is the anniversary of the

war. That’s why we celebrate it. Patriots Day is a very fun holiday.
