In a recent survey, 2,000 UK office workers were asked if:‘they lacked confidence on the telephone’
65% of respondents aged 18-34
admitted that they were nervous about
answering the telephone
In comparison, only 10% of over 55s said that they felt nervous
A staggering 1 in 6 workers also admitted to ignoring incoming calls if avoidable
The preferred alternative to answering the telephone?
