Whereas, notice under the proviso to sub-section (1) ofsection 7 of the Jammu and Kashmir Requisitioning and Acquisition of ImmovableProperty Act, 1968 was issued through Deputy Commissioner, Jammu vide No.DCJILHS/Army/RAIPlNlKhanpur etc-588/2003/620-22 dated 28-11-2016 to theowners/tenants of the requisitioned land described in Annexure- "A" to thisnotification thereby calling upon the Owners/tenants to show cause within a periodof fifteen days as to why the said property should not be acquired; and.

Whereas, after the expiry of said period, no cause has been shown by themagainst the said notice;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) ofsection 7 of the Jammu and Kashmir Requisitioning and Acquisition of ImmovableProperty Act, 1968, the Government having been satisfied that it is necessary to doso, hereby acquire the said property/land measuring 426Kls 08Mls as detailed inAnnexure-"A" to this notification situated at Village Khanpur, Rathore Dhok andKamini, Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu for public purpose. .
