IS MAHINDRA QUANTO COMPACT SUV A GOOD BUYING DEAL?

Mahindra Quanto was in the mind of the buyers as Mini Xylo for quite long but it finally hit the market as a brand new compact SUV accommodating 7 people, available at a price at which entry level sedans are available. Though the basic designing of the UV is quite similar to Xylo with some alteration and changes here and there.

The Mahindra Quanto engine is a 1493cc, 3 cylinder 12 valve 1.5L diesel engine which is a toned down version of 2.2L mhawk diesel engine which weighs lesser and is mated with 5 speed manual transmission making it highly dynamic.

You get a maximum power of 110bhp @ 3750rpm and maximum torque of 240Nm @ 1600-2800rpm and a satisfying mileage of 13.8kmpl in the city and 17.21 on the highways from all the version of Mahindra Quanto that happen to be 4 in total.

Some of the features of Quanto the compact SUV like reverse parking aid, the door puddle lamps, the two front armrests, and safety features like ABS and dual Airbags, engine immobilizer make it a really appealing and then you have good amount of head room, leg room, overall good space and better lumbar adjustment that further make it a buyer’s first choice.

But it may give a bit of bumpy ride, the third row of seats is cramped up not very suitable for adults to sit, styling is a bit awkward too and the Quanto price being set between Rs. 6,09,375 and Rs. 7,65,864 (New Delhi, ex), one can think of buying a cool hatch at the same price.
