EXPLANATION: Jesus demonstrates this habit of mind by showing us that he is tolerant of different views and is willing to try things that may not be familiar to him.

EXAMPLE- “I found out the Catholic Church was actually going against some of the things that the Bible teaches. The church that I go to now is a non-denominational church and I am now Christian.”

EXPLANATION: Jesus demonstrates this habit of mind by being inquisitive and asking probing questions about what he believed was a fallacy of the Catholic Church he use to attend.

EXPLANATION: Jamie demonstrates this habit of mind by showing us that she respects the right of others to have different opinions and even stipulates that the person she is looking for must be able to express their own opinions openly around her.

EXAMPLE- “I am a true believer in beauty being on the inside of a person…”

EXPLANATION: Jamie demonstrates this habit of mind by showing us how she strives for the best possible knowledge in any given situation. She omits physical appearances from being a factor in who she creates friendships or relationships with.

DEFINITION: This appeal asks us to suspend our critical judgment because we pity a victim or identify with someone else’s problems.

EXAMPLE- “It’s been hard to get a job lately, especially being a full time student…”

EXPLANATION: He asks us to identify with him and his problem of having a hard time finding a job.

DEFINITION: This appeal lies in the desire of the subject (usually a politician) to have himself or herself perceived as an “ordinary citizen” or just plain folks.

EXAMPLE- “I love to spend time with friends just hanging out.”

EXPLANATION: He asks us to view him as a normal person by stating how he likes “just hanging out” with his friends.

EXPLANATION: She asks us to identify with her being a “dog lover” and her problem of not having enough space in her apartment to have a dog.

DEFINITION: This appeal lies in the desire of the subject (usually a politician) to have himself or herself perceived as an “ordinary citizen” or just plain folks.

EXAMPLE- “I consider myself sociable and easy to talk to…”

EXPLANATION: She asks us to see her as a normal person by telling us that she is “sociable” and “easy to talk to.”

WHY IS JAMIE THE PERFECT MATCH FOR JESUS?* They both play the guitar and enjoy creating music.

* They both have the same strong habits of mind, such as; open-mindedness and truth-seeking.

* They both use similar vague and ambiguous language.

* They are both a part of the same language community; religion.

* They both use the same emotional appeals in their profiles; pity or sympathy and just plain folks.

* Based on all these similarities between their profiles, I believe Jesus and Jamie are a perfect match, and could create beautiful music and love Jesus Christ together.
