What is a living thing?

A living thing is alive. A living thing changes and grows. A living thing needs food to survive.

A living thing reproduces to have offspring.

What is a plant?

A plant is a living thing. Most plants make their own food by photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants that contain chlorophyll use sunlight to make their food.

A plant can not move around. A plant reproduces. A plant grows.

What is an animal?

An animal is living thing. An animal does not make its own food.

An animal can move around. An animal reproduces. An animal grows.
