    IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR)

    IN THE CONDUCT OF THE

    MR. AND MS. AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL

    IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES

    IRR 1.1 The candidate must be a bona fide member of NFJPIA 2012-2013; must be of

    good moral character; and, must not have undergone to any disciplinary actions or

    to have any failing grades in any academic subjects.

    IRR 1.2 Male candidates must be at least 55 in height, and female candidates must be at

    least 52 in height.

    IRR 1.3 Must be a person of integrity who manifest a powerful will to commit, and

    proven potential to reach out to the NFJPIA members.

    IRR 1.4 Must be fully aware about NFJPIAs mission, vision and activities and be able to

    articulate them.

    IRR 1.5 Must have the ability to promote the values of the NFJPIA.

    IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES

    IRR 2.1 This annual event aims to search for an ambassador who is an embodiment of a

    true NFJPIA.

    IRR 2.2 It focuses on the true beauty of the participant, not only for the outside

    appearance but also for the good character he/she possesses.

    IRR 2.3 It celebrates the intelligence, integrity and personality the candidates have.

    IRR 2.4 It aims to create camaraderie and to practice public relations to people, through

    them NFJPIAns will be more inspired to do things.

    IRR 3.0 REQUIREMENTS

    IRR 3.1 Soft and hard copies of duly accomplished application form to be provided by

    the Regional Vice President for Non-Academics.

    IRR 3.2 Photocopy of current Registration Card and Identification Card.

    IRR 3.3 Certification form from the University/College Registrar that the candidate is of

    good moral character.

    IRR 3.4 Soft and hard copies of Certified True Copy (Transcript of Records) or

    Certification of the Grades from 1st year to present signed by the Dean.

    IRR 3.5 Recommendation letter from the Local Chapter President and Adviser.

    IRR 3.6 Soft and hard copies of three (3) recent 4R photos (close-up, half body and

    whole body) in casual wear.

    IRR 3.7 Soft and hard copies of two (2) recent 8R photos (half body and whole body) in

    formal wear.

    IRR 3.8 Softcopy of the documentation of the outreach program that the candidates

    conducted in their respective communities.

    IRR 4.0 GENERAL MECHANICS

    IRR 4.1 Each local chapter can send one (1) male and one (1) female candidate.

    IRR 4.2 The candidates must comply with the above requirements.

    IRR 4.3 They must undergo two portions: the premier and the pageant.

    IRR 5.0 PREMIER NIGHT

    IRR 5.1 Period of the event:

    IRR 5.2 The candidates can wear any costume in compliance with their talent shown.

    IRR 5.3 The talent of a candidate must be good for two to three (2-3) minutes including

    entrance and exit and a point twenty five (0.25) point deduction shall be given tothe total score for the Talent Portion for every 15 seconds in excess of time

    allowed. Use of props is permitted as long as no explosive materials are being

    used. Utmost, two back up performers are allowed for each candidate.

    IRR 5.4 The talent must consecutively be done.

    IRR 5.5 In the Casual Interview, the committee should prepare a group of pictures under

    a certain theme which will be picked randomly by the candidates and they will be

    asked to express their thoughts on the picture assigned to them. The candidates

    are given 60 seconds to express. After which, the candidates is signaled to stop. A

    0.5 point deduction shall be given to the total score of the Casual Interview

    portion for every 5 seconds in excess of time allowed.

    IRR 5.6 Apparently, the Special Awards will be given to the candidates who have

    garnered the highest scores for each portion. The following will be announced in

    this night:

    3. Best in Casual Interview (male and female)

    IRR 6.0 PAGEANT NIGHT

    IRR 6.1 Period of the event:

    IRR 6.2 The candidates can wear any costume in compliance with the theme of the

    Pageant.

    IRR 6.3 The resort wear of the candidates shall be provided by them or by their Local

    Chapter. Using of accessories will be allowed.

    IRR 6.4 A pictorial will be conducted on the 1st day of the MYC for the presentation of

    the resort wear of candidates.

    IRR 6.5 For the outreach program of the candidates, the male and female candidate of a

    Regional Council (if they have both) must team-up in heading at least one (1)

    outreach program in their region. If they have only one candidate (male or

    female), he/she must head an outreach program alone. The officers of their

    council are not prohibited to help the candidate/s. Documentation (videos,

    pictures or other media presentation) is needed for it to have a bearing in the

    judging of winners.

    IRR 6.6 THE 1ST SET OF SPECIAL AWARDS INCLUDES:

    1. Best in Theme Wear (male and female)

    2. Best in Resort Wear (male and female)

    3. Most Photogenic (male and female)

    4. Mr. and Ms. Congeniality

    5. Another photo shoot will be conducted during the 1st day of the convention.

    This time, the candidates shall wear their best semi-formal attires. These pictures

    will be the basis for the Most Photogenic awards.

    6. The Mr. and Ms. Congeniality will be selected through secret voting among the

    candidates before the pageant night.

    IRR 6.7 THE 2ND SET OF SPECIAL AWARDS INCLUDES:

    a. Best in Formal Wear (male) and Best in Long Gown (female)

    b. Peoples Choice Award (Male and Female)

    c. Epitome of Benevolence Award (candidate/s of one (1) local chapter)

    IRR 7.0 PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD:

    IRR 7.1 Thirty Five (35) Signature sheets will be given to each Regional Council for their

    male and female candidates. Twenty (20) of which will be considered sold,

    regardless of whether they only have a male or a female candidate, and the full

    amount shall be remitted to the Regional Vice President for Finance on the 1st

    day of the MYC.

    IRR 7.2 The National Federation must have full control of the signature sheets.

    Photocopying of which is strictly prohibited by the organizers.

    IRR 7.3 Each sheet has Two Hundred (200) boxes and each box shall contain one

    signature. Each signature is equivalent to PhP1.00.

    IRR 7.4 The winners will be given 25% and the other contestants will be given 10% of

    the excess of considered sold signature sheets.

    IRR 8.0 EPITOME OF BENEVOLENCE

    For the Epitome of Benevolence Award, the documentations will be pre-judged by the

    representatives of sponsor firms. The award will be given to the candidates of the Local

    Chapter who garnered the highest votes from the judges. The presentation must not be

    more than five (5) minutes and a point twenty five (0.25) point deduction shall be given

    to the total score for the Outreach Program for every 15 seconds in excess of time

    allowed.

    IRR 9.0 ANNOUNCING OF WINNERS

    IRR 9.1 The scores for the Premier, the Pageant, and the documentation will be weighted

    to select the Final 3 (top three (3) female candidates and top three (3) male

    candidates). The accumulated score of each finalist will be 30% of the final

    judging. 70% will come from the question and answer portion.

    IRR 9.2 The question for the Final 3 will be uniform to the candidates.

    IRR 9.3 The winners of the major awards shall come from the Final 3. These awards are

    as follows:

    1. Mr. and Ms. NFJPIA Ambassadors of Goodwill 20122nd Runners-up

    2. Mr. and Ms. NFJPIA Ambassadors of Goodwill 20121st Runners-up

    3. Mr. and Ms. NFJPIA Ambassadors of Goodwill 2012

    For judging rating, candidates will be rated at a minimum of 60% in every segment.
