You will be immersed into a way of life in a historic Irish Boarding School; to learn new life skills, challenge yourself and gain confidence, respect and independence. Our high level academic teachers will focus on your progression in English speaking and listening skills. You will live in an astonishing rural location and enjoy the company of other likeminded students from all over the world.

As an AFS participant you will also mix with Irish teenagers on the successful weekly Intercultural Irish Teenage programme and have a great choice of electives includingextra academics, sports and Irish focused classes in the evenings.

Students attending the this Summer Camp will experience life in

either Clongowes Wood College or Glenstal Abbey’s amazing campus,

which are equipped with facilities of the highest standards.

Intercultural Irish Teenage Programme

To enhance student's intercultural experience, there will be weekly lessons called the Intercultural Teenage Programme; where Irish, teenage students will join to lead an exercise alongside teacher which allows our students the opportunity to connect with Irish teenagers and their peers.

Evening social activities and electives “Learn a Skill”

Mobile Climbing Wall, water sports on the Lake (Glenstal Abbey) such as kayaking and paddle boards. Opportunities for playingTennis and football or to swim. Time to relax: areas for chatting with friends, reading or playing ping-pong, basket-ball or billiard.
