Abstract:Enlightened Moderation is not a new phenomenon. The term has been used in Europesince Centuries, but the results it produced were not favorable both for the ChristianReligion and the society. However, it gave a momentum to the views that reformationof the old conceived idea is imperative. As societies and civilizations influence eachother, this movement was made to spread in Muslim societies in recent years. InPakistan General Pervaeez Musharaf, the President of Pakistan, appeared to be themain focal of this tenet. This Article, however, throws light on the different aspects of its historical evolution.Later, it suggests that though Islam is enlightened Religion and moderate in a sensebut it is not willing to accept the results which had shaken the roots of the Westernsociety. Further, Muslims are not ready to change their life style, because it does notsuit to their moral values.

The Quran and Muslims Humanism has made human beings the measure of all things. Hence,

whatever is beyond the rational faculty of human mind, is stamped as unreliableor at least suspect. Humanism is a product of post-renaissance, western thought,a legacy that was summarized by Muhammad Hasan Askari "A short treatise:Jadidiat ya Maghrabi gumrahion ki tarikh ka khakah". (9)
