Program Evaluation Assistant SCOPE OF WORK: Under the supervision of the Center for Financial Opportunity Manager, the Program Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Program Evaluation Coordinator with the implementation and ongoing administration of project evaluation components. The Assistant will primarily provide support to the Program Evaluation Coordinator in continued implementation of the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database across a variety of IRC San Diego Programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1) Assist in development and implementation of quality assurance systems for the ETO database 2) Assist in the support of project staff and managers in properly using and customizing ETO to meet program reporting and data tracking requirements. 3) Assist in managing ETO user accounts, build custom queries as needed and requested by project managers 4) Support in designing, testing, and implementing new projects or service metrics into the ETO data system. 5) Assist in connecting the ETO database with MS Live Office and other data systems; support the creation of turn-key functionality for quantitative project reports. 6) Provide other IT-related support as needed to the San Diego office 7) Assist in efforts to assess ETO’s ability to perform broader functions beyond those required by the Center for Financial Opportunity; support efforts to facilitate wider usage of the system in other departments. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Experience: High computer proficiency, experience with database systems, and willingness to primarily work on data-driven elements of social service work required. Prior experience with the ETO database preferred. One or more years experience working in a non-profit, multi-cultural setting strongly preferred. 2. Education: B.S./B.A. or higher. Experience in lieu of an undergraduate degree is acceptable. 3. Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to make presentations, are important. Flexibility, dependability, and creativity are desired. Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and maintain responsibility for multiple projects. Attention to detail, ability to handle deadlines, and provide excellent and friendly support to IRC staff required.
