You will meet
Dear Sirs ,
Global competition in the MRO industry is increasing. The main challenges for businesses are to
reduce costs, improve safety and increase the quality level. As trivial as this may sound, reality
shows how difficult the application is.
However, Aircraft maintenance comprises much potential for cost and performance improvement.
The difficulty is to integrate the operations in the line of business and making efficient investments
in MRO applications. Maintaining aircraft fleets requires not only new skills but also the application
of the right strategy.
Benefit from best practices and cutting-edge case studies on our international conference

MRO IT Systems
On-time departures for airlines depend much on themaintenance reliability for fleets. Delivery of real-time serviceis the primary goal. For this, information of fleets and partsneed to be passed on quickly and maintenance activities needto be properly documented. Aircraft maintenance systemsare therefore indispensable. Maintenance procedures arestandardised, accurate overview of all parts and assembliesand project job costs can be kept. Maintenance planning ispossible because work orders are automated. Latest trends inusing e-maintenance show that further benefits and ROI canbe obtained. It helps to optimise the workflow, while assuringa high level of quality.
The workshop gives a precise overview of the implementationprocess for a maintenance system, specifically e-maintenance.Participants of the workshop will learn to:
I Manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenanceactvities
I Manage part inventories and trace inventory processesand purchasing processes
I Coordinate supply chain managementI Maintain outsource contractor data

Workshop C14:00-17:00
MRO Contracting
Outsourcing of MRO work is no novelty, but became moreand more popular in Europe in the 90ties. The US airlines arestill lagging behind.
Small and middle-sized airlines have reduced inhousemaintenance activities in order to control costs and low-costcarriers tend to outsource their MRO work completely. FromLine Maintenance to Base Maintenance, from component andengine repair, modification and overhaul to engineering themaintenance activties outsourced are subject to the airline'sbusiness model, fleet size and composition and the overalllong term economics. Hence the type of contracts with themaintenace service provider can be very different. Subject tothe airlines profile (size, location, aircraft type, fleet size etc)and its mid to long term aspirations the best contract for theairlines particular needs has to be concluded.
Material Management is becoming more and more acrucial cost driver. Latest trends in MRO contracting reflect theextension of the popular "Power by the Hour" for componentmaintenance, repair and overhaul to include the sparesprovisioning and supply as well. This transfer of primarilyfixed costs into variable costs provides extra flexibility to theairlines.
The Workshop will sketch out the various possibilities ofdesigning a suitable contract tailored to your company andhighlight recent trends in MRO contracting.
Participants will gain insights in how to:I Design flexible contractsI Adjust contracts in order to minimise costs in material
management
