innOvatiOnThe IPXPlorer product family has many innovative solu-tions that provide the user with the best and most easy to use tool for traffic analysis, service quality measure, and for troubleshooting unusual network situations.

ASDR-Application Service Details Record, AFE- Anomalies Finder Engine, and M-CEF- MuTech Cogni-tion Engine Filters for high speed traffic and signaling patterns comparison are just some examples of the in-novations inside IPXPlorer Flex. Correlation is another example of an innovative function.

tRaffic cORRelatiOnCorrelation in the IPXPlorer Flex is the ability to link to-gether data exchange sessions such as TCP transactions for services like HTTP, DNS, RADIUS, RTSP,-VoD, MMS, WAP, IPTV, IP and legacy telephony calls, IMS and IuCS calls and transactions, PDP context from GnGp and IuPS interfaces, and any signaling based-procedures which belong to different protocols running on different types

of physical interfaces and are part of the same end-to-end user communication.

When IPXPlorer Flex is connected to the different net-work element monitoring points, it has the ability to analyze the data and find the message parts belonging to the same session. With this, the user can see the com-plete end-to-end data exchange.

The correlation in the IPXPlorer architecture is always based on xDR or better on ASDR. The intrinsic capabili-ty of ASDR to link packets and frames, allows the corre-lation engine to show the complete end-to-end process flow and the packet-frame flow as well.

All the xDRs are linked together in a single ASDR for every session and end-point activities.

From the ASDR, IPXPlorer extracts the xDR part of the same communication process. Then from the xDR it links the every packet or frame of the flow, including payload carrying the user traffic.

This xDR is linked with the others of the same end-point by the ASDR. Therefore, from the ASDR the IPXPlor-er Flex can link the traffic exchanged during a session over multiple interfaces being monitored and the logi-cal links between the different addresses existing in the system.

In the case of geographic distribution of probes, there are two levels of correlation: Site level and Network level.

The correlation at site level is managed by the MT-OS running on IPXPlorer Flex and all the data coming from different interfaces and protocols that are part of the same flow can be correlated together into an ASDR as explained previously.

    IPXPlorer fleX 3

It is 3 units 19 rack mount probe with 16 GE or STM1/OC3, and/or 8-32 PCM physical ports. It hosts from 2 up to 32 TB storage with hot-swappable hard-drives.

    IPXPlorer fleX 4a and B

It is 4 units 19 rack mount probe with 24 GE or STM1/OC3, and/or 8-48 PCM or 4 10GE physical ports (A Model) . It hosts from 8 up to 48 TB storage with hot-swappable hard-drives.

With 16 GE/STM1-OC3 and up to 32 TB IPX-Plorer Flex 3 is an attractive solution for high traffic volume analysis

With over 2 millions packets per second in real-time, IPXPlorer Flex 4 is one of the most performant pssive monitoring probe in the market.

  • Network Visibility Provides Insight

IPXPlorer Flex has a User-friendly GUI with a top down approach. All the results are shown divided by layers: from correlation, to applications,

down to network and physical analysis. The User navigates through the menu with a tree view presentation by clicking the specific node then selecting the

    required analysis result screen.

The correlation at network level is delegated to the QX-Manager system or other customers server. The IPXPlor-er Flex generates xDR and delivers them to the central server that provides correlation between networks.

    Key features

Real Time analysis is performed along with historical-recordedtrafficanalysis. IPXPlorer Flex records traffic and stores statistical data for long term monitoring and analysis. This function allows the users to navigate back in time and obtain statistical counters, like session attempts, or packets per seconds for a specific period of time. Results type varies from network performance, usage, pairs and services based traffic statistical analysis to a dashboard with speed performance indicators for the most active hosts, users, destinations, or top called-calling end points. IP and generic Details Record (IPDR and xDR) generation for the main services transported by the data stream being monitored. The xDR are aggregated in the Application Ser-vice Details Record, or ASDR. The ASDR gives a snapshot of the entire service session including traffic, quality, timing, and possible errors during the transportation, signaling, and payload exchange. Quality of Service scoring for Datacom, Voice, and Video over packet based on latency, response time and packets loss measurements, ITU G107-EModel, and MDI-RFC4445. Over 3000 Key Performance Indicators and programmable aggregation are generated based on xDR and ASDR for re-porting and alarming purposes. Alarms on service and network anomalies with Users pro-grammable thresholds and conditions. Troubleshooting features such as protocol decodes and data stream correlation with graphical representation of end-to-end data flows. WEB access to results and analysis. A browser supporting Adobe Flash Player is required. Built-in VNC remote control by browser. Multiple Users Operation. Users Operation. Up to ten Clients can access the unit at the same time.

IPXPlorer Flex manages dashboards that the User can create combining dif-ferent views of results, ASDR reports, alarms, real-time status, and historical

data analysis on the same screen. Each client can save multiple views and recall when necessary. IPXPlorer Flex provides the results of the analysis in tabular

and chart formats in 2D and 3D.
