    IPFW at West Virginia | Saturday, December 13, 2014 | Morgantown, W.Va.

HEAD COACH CHRIS PAULThe winningest coach in program history, Chris Paul now enters his 10th season at IPFW with a career record of 109-151. The 2013-14 season saw Paul’s squad return to the postseason with its second appear-ance in the Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI). The Mastodons finished third in the Summit League as Amanda Hyde earned her second con-secutive Summit League Player of the Year honor. Hyde was joined by Haley Seibert to become the first pair of IPFW players to be named to the First Team. The duo was also named to the Academic All-League team. Hyde went on to be named the Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association Female Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season and become the first IPFW student-athlete to be named to the Capital One Academic All-America first team. The 2012-13 team received multiple post-season honors under Paul’s guidance, with the top award going to Amanda Hyde who was named Summit League Player of the Year for her outstanding efforts. Hyde became the first IPFW women’s basketball player to earn Player of the Year honors since the 1995-96 season when Lindy Jones was crowned as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year. Additionally, Hyde was named the Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, the Summit League Scholar Athlete of the Year, and a Capital One Academic All-America second team honoree. Hyde was a clear choice as a First Team All-Summit League selection and teammate Erin Murphy was an All-League honorable mention pick. During the 2010-11 season, Paul guided the Mastodons to a 20-11 overall record, the first time the team had reached 20 or more wins since the 1995-96 team went 23-5, while earning the second seed into the Summit League Championship. The team capped off the year by claiming the program’s first postseason tourna-ment appearance since becoming members of NCAA Division I, in earning a berth into the WBI. Since joining the Summit League in 2007, Paul has coached nine student-athletes who have received postseason recognition. Johnna Lewis Carlisle was a First Team All-Summit League selection, Jordan Zuppe was a part of the All-Newcomer Team and went on to become a Second Team All-League player, Chelsey Jackson was named to the Summit League Second Team, and both Eva Ivanova and Kayla Drake were named to the All-Newcomer Team. The duo of Stephanie Rosado and Anne Boese also had a positive impact on the program as Rosado ended her career with one First Team All-League honor, two Second Team awards, while also being tabbed to the All-Newcomer Team. Boese was selected as a Second Team player in 2009-10 and was twice recognized as an honorable mention selection. In his first full season as head coach, the team set a Division I record with 12 wins in 2006-07, as the next season’s team equaled that mark. The 2009-10 season saw the team finish 13-17, and going 10-8 in Summit League play, good for the sixth seed in the league tournament.

TWICE AS NICE...Haley Seibert was named The Summit League’s Co-Player of the Week along with South Dakota State’s Megan Waytashek for their performances Dec. 1-7. Currently, Seibert has drained 51 consecutive free throws, which ranks eighth all-time in NCAA history. On Thursday, she tallied 24 points and dished out four assists in a win at Chicago State on Thursday. The senior guard followed that performance with 19 points, including her 1,000th career point, and two rebounds in Saturday’s victory over Northern Kentucky. She also went 14-of-14 at the line which tied a program record and is tied for second in league history. To begin the week, Seibert scored 14 points with three rebound and two assists in an overtime loss to Detroit. She became the 19th play in women’s basketball history to join the club. Under head coach Chris Paul, Seibert becomes the eight different IPFW player to eclipse the century mark, including two of the top-four scorers all-time in Mastodon history - Johnna Lewis-Carlisle and Amanda Hyde. The other five are Jordan Zuppe, Stephanie Rosado, Anne Boese, Ashley Johnson, and Chelsey Jackson.

COOL AS A CUCUMBER...After missing her first free throw attempt of the season at Illinois, Haley Seibert connected on her next 54 attempts until missing her first attempt at Indiana. That mark ranks 6th all-time in Division I history entering the season. Former Mastodon Stephanie Rosado ranks 27th on the all-time list when she made 36 straight from Jan. 2 - Feb. 1, 2010

THREE-POINT STREAK...The IPFW Mastodons have made a 3-point field goal in 474 straight contests, a stretch that ranks as the third longest active streak in NCAA Division I. Iowa State’s streak is at the top of the list by making a 3-point field goal in 619 consecutive games. Sam Houston State is the only other team head of IPFW with 570.

SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUT...At the conclusion of the 2013-14 season, IPFW was one of only four teams the be ranked in the top-30 of all Division I programs in field-goal (30th), free-throw (4th), and three-point (7th) percentages. The other three teams included: Connecti-cut, Minnesota, and Notre Dame.

FREEBIES...The Mastodons finished the 2013-14 season fourth in Division I as a team posting a free-throw percentage of 78.7, behind Iowa St., Saint Joseph’s and Nebraska who finished the year at 80.4, 80.1, and 79.8, respectively. Over the past three seasons, IPFW has ranked in the top-20 in free throw percentage each year. The Mastodons are one of only four schools to do so. The others are: Florida International, Notre Dame, and Utah State.

That mark ended the season atop Division I for most free throws made without a miss, two more than Southern Missis-sippi’s 22-for-22.

NEXT GENERATION OF MASTODONS...PFW women’s basketball head coach Chris Paul has an-nounced the signing of three National Letters of Intent - Pey-ton Fallis (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian), Josie Fisher (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead), and Isis Parker (Cleveland, Ohio/Solon). The trio will join the Mastodon program starting with the 2015-16 season. Fallis, a 5-9 shooting guard, led Heritage Christian to the 2013-14 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 2A state championship. She was selected to participate in the 2014 IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Showcase and the Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic. Fallis is a two-time Marion County Coaches of Girls’ Sports Association All-City Team selection. She was also named to the 2013-14 Indianapolis City Alliance All-City Tournament Team. Fallis also excelled on the volleyball court, where she is a three-time First Team All-State selection, and in the classroom as a three-year honor roll student. Fisher, a 5-7 point guard, becomes the fourth player to sign with the Mastodons from Northeast Indiana in the past three signing classes. She is a two-time IBCA/Subway Un-derclass All-State Honorable Mention. Fisher was selected to play in the 2014 Indiana Junior All-Star game where she had 11 points and three steals in a win over the Kentucky All-Star team. She has twice been selected to participate in the IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Showcase. Last year she averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds a game, was a team captain, and earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award. She was also named the team MVP as a freshman.
