CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL 2017 IPAD PROGRAM

Purchasing an iPad Cambridge Primary School is a 1:1 iPad school established since 2013. This year we have partnered with JB HIFI Solutions and they will be providing an online portal allowing parents to purchase iPads with an education discount. Alternatively, you have the option to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) which we will support to the same extent as previous JB HIFI purchased iPads. If you choose to bring your own device, we recommend an iPad with these minimum specifications:

32GB storage or above

We strongly discourage purchasing an older iPad model eg: iPad 2/3/4 (3rd/4th Generation models) as Apple are phasing out older devices in Education by reducing compatibility with MDM, iOS, and new Apple initiatives. Therefore, we recommend purchasing iPad models Air 1, 2, Mini 3rd/4th Gen, or iPad Pro, this will ensure you the longest lifetime for your iPad. You may get an iPad at a cheap price but it may not be the original screen or warranty is voided meaning that Apple will not service the product in the event anything goes wrong with it. Options are available through an Interest Free term with Once Credit which will be available when the Online Portal will be open to families as of 3rd October 2016. AppleCare Protection Plan can only be selected at the time of purchase. We highly recommend any iPad should have this service attached for warranty purposes. In the event of an iPad being damaged, it would be covered through any Apple Reseller as a replacement within the warranty period (Valid x 2 replacements) with an excess of $65 AUD.
