SUBSCRIPTION PROCESSHow to Subscribe:You must subscribe through the website. Note: This process cannot be completed via the app.
1. Go to https://www.plumbsveterinarydrugs.com.

2. Click on the “Subscribe” button.
3. Enter the email address you would like associated with this account. Note: This will become your username.
4. Create and confirm your password.
5. Review, then agree to the privacy policy.

6. Click “Select Your Plan”.*
* If you are a current veterinary or pharmacy student, click the “Apply here” link to apply for a free yearly subscription. You will be taken to a new website to verify your information. Once your student status has been confirmed, you will receive an email with your account information.

7. Select either an individual or practice plan** depending on your needs.
** Individual: A single user ** Practice: Minimum of 5 users within 1 business

8. Fill in your account and billing information.
9. Click “Review Order”.

10. Review the information; if it is correct, click “Confirm”.

DOWNLOADING THE APP
How to Download the App:There are 2 options to download the app so it is accessible on mobile devices.
iPad (iOS)
1. Go to www.plumbsveternarydrugs.com.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the app store logo that corresponds to your device.
3. Click “FREE” once you find the blue “P” icon.
Option 1: Download from Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs

SIGN-IN PROCESSHow to Sign in to Your Account:Once you have subscribed and created your account on the website, you can now sign in on the mobile app version.
Once you are logged in, you will immediately be taken to the SEARCH page for fast access to drug information for which you are looking.
1. Click the icon on your device to open the app.
2. Enter the email and password that was used when you set up your subscription.
3. Click “SIGN IN”.

RESETTING YOUR PASSWORDIf you forget your password, you can reset it at any time on the Mobile App version of Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs.
1. Open the Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs app on your mobile device.
2. Click “Forgot your password?”.

3. Type in your email address, and click “Resend Reset Email”.

4. A green message bar will appear across the top of the screen indicating that the password reset email has been sent.

5. Check your email, and look for a message from “Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs” with the subject line “Reset Your Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs Password.”
6. Click on the provided link to be taken to a page where you can reset your password.
7. Type in your new password, and click “RESET PASSWORD”.
You have now successfully reset your password and can log in and continue to use the product.

NAVIGATION PROCESSOnce you have logged into the mobile app version of Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, you will be taken to the SEARCH screen. This page allows you quick access to the monographs. You may also use the links on the far left rail to help you navigate the app. A description of the links is provided in this section.
The second link (located at the left of the page) is “Appendix”, which includes helpful information frequently referenced by veterinarians. This section includes all Appendix information included in the Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs Handbook as well as additional information. These documents include (but are not limited to) the following:

The fourth link (located at the left of the page) is “Notes” where you can access the personal notations you have entered. When you click on this icon, you will see a list of your notes in 1 location listed by drug name.

At the top right corner of the screen you will see a grey wheel. When you click on this icon, a menu will pop up which includes the following options:

When you click the red “LOG OUT” you will be logged out and brought to the sign in screen. If you do not log out, you will stay logged into your account indefinitely to allow the easiest and quickest access to the drug information.
This section contains your personal information, including billing information. If you need to edit your billing or account information, changes can be made here.
Note: When you select this option you will be taken to the website to review your account and billing information. You can navigate back to the app by selecting “Back to Plumb’s” in the top left corner.

SEARCH PROCESS
There are 2 ways to find a drug monograph in Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs:
1. By brand name or generic drug name.
2. Alphabetically by generic (only) drug name.
1. Type the name of the drug in the search box (located on the home/search page on the mobile app), and hit the SEARCH button under your keyboard. NOTE: If you are unsure how to spell the name, just type in the first few letters.

2. A list of drugs will appear, scroll through them until you find the drug for which you are looking.

3. Click on the drug name to open the monograph.

1. Click on the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to the first letter of the generic drug name. For example, if you are looking for “Acetaminophen”, you would click on the letter “A”. The letters are located on the far right side of the screen.

2. Scroll through the list until you find the drug name.
3. Click on the drug name to open the monograph.

Once you have “FAVORITED” drugs, they will show up at the top of the home/search page under “Favorites” for easier access.
Once you have added NOTES to specific drugs, they will show up in your “Notes” section (side tab) for easier access.

MONOGRAPH INFORMATIONThe monograph contains clinical information on a specific drug. While the entire monograph is easily accessible by scrolling down, 4 “Quick Links” located at the top of the monograph for easy access to 4 commonly referenced sections.

You can exit this menu by clicking the “X” on the far left of the screen. It replaced the 3 white lines.

When navigating through a monograph there is a double arrow in BLUE on the right side of each subsection. Clicking on this arrow will bring you back to the top of the monograph.

To mark a drug as a Favorite, click on the star located at the top of the screen. The star will fill in BLUE once it has been made a favorite.

To add a personal note to a specific drug, click on the “Note” icon, a static BLUE circle with a notepad and pen. Click on the pencil to add the note then click “Save.”

FEATURE - FAVORITES:
If you have drugs that you want to reference quickly and often, you can designate them as favorites. Once a drug is marked as a favorite, it will show up on the home/search page under “Favorites.”
Once the star has been clicked, it will fill in BLUE to indicate that this monograph is now a favorite.
1. Locate the drug through the search function.
2. Click the star that is located at the top of the screen.
How to Add a Drug as a Favorite:

You can delete a drug from your list of favorites by following the steps below:
1. Locate the drug either by using the search function or under your list of favorites, and click on the drug name.
2. Click on the blue star, and it will become hollow again. This indicates that it is no longer a favorite.
How to Delete a Drug as a Favorite:

FEATURE - NOTES:
Just as you would write notes in your printed handbook, you can add notes to the digital drug monograph.
1. Locate the drug through the search function.
2. Click on the “Notes” icon floating on the bottom right of the monograph screen.
How to Add a Note to a Drug Monograph:

3. Type the note you would like to add once the pop up box opens for the note.
4. Click “Save”.

Once you have added the note it will always be accessible when clicking that same icon. The drug note will also show up on the bottom or left menu under “Notes” for quick and easy reference.
There are 2 ways to edit a note within a drug monograph:
1. Locate the drug monograph.
2. Click on the note icon to open the note.
How to Edit a Drug Note:

1. Locate the drug within your notes. This is located in the menu on the left of your screen.

2. Click on the note you would like to edit.
3. Click on the square icon with the pencil located at the top right of the screen.
4. Edit the note, and click “Save”.

Notes can be deleted in the “Notes” section of the app located in menu on the lower left of the screen.
1. Locate the drug within your notes. This is located on the home/search page at the bottom or on the left.

2. Select the drug note you would like to delete.
3. Click on the trash can icon at the top right of the screen.

4. Confirm that you want to delete the note permanently. This CANNOT be undone.
