The product Idea/Overview It is proposed to develop an IP(Internet
Protocol) based Distributed smart camera system which can be adapted to monitor vivid environments of Agriculture and Wild life to accomplish the goal of remotely monitoring and managing the safety and security in a rural/remote setting.
It offers the benefits such as remote access, flexibility in design, scalability, and ease of use.
Block diagram showing the system•Various cameras are kept to enclose the entire area under surveillance which has their own separate IP address.
•These cameras are under the home network i.e. all are connected to the minicomputer/system through the router.
• This system can be accessed from any other place using PC, tablet or Smartphone.

ServicesHaving an IP video system allows the farm owner
to connect remotely to the cameras and view live or recorded surveillance footage from his laptop, smart phone, or tablet device.
The ability to connect remotely to the surveillance system gives the owner valuable peace of mind while travelling, since he can now monitor his farm, equipment, and operations from anywhere in the world with an Internet or cellular connection.
Having secure wireless internet access can also provide many benefits beyond surveillance to a modern day agricultural and wildlife monitoring.
Applications
In Agricultural farm This project is mainly concerned with farming
application.
In Forest : Security, wildlife tracking
In any remote area which require regular visit and care.
Farming Applications Monitor for intruders – Strategically placed farm security
cameras will capture images of anyone entering the property. This coverage helps to ensure that only authorized workers gain access to the farm and its facilities.
Protect water supplies – A well-protected water supply is critical to agricultural operations. Farm security cameras can play an important role in protecting this highly-sensitive area.
Prevent break - ins – Implementing farm security cameras around your property can deter break ins. For those intruders who look past the cameras, the surveillance footage can capture them in the act.
Deter theft – Farm security cameras in areas such as holding pens, calving pens, tool shops, and gates will help to prevent thieves from stealing animals and equipment.
Monitor daily operations – Security cameras can also ensure that daily operations such as milking and feeding run smoothly.
Employee monitoring – Video surveillance can be used to monitor employee behaviour so that critical farm operations are properly carried out.
Remote playback and monitoring – With an IP-based surveillance system, farm owners can monitor their property remotely. Footage can be stored digitally and easily searched in cases requiring visual evidence.

Possible Innovation at the later stageImage/Video attributes can be extracted and
transmitted based on the requirements with the help of FPGA programming.
We can build online video surveillance not only for the farming application but also for home, office, playground, college etc with customized design at low cost.
ScalabilityDifferent Systems can be networked.
Adding cameras to the existing network doesn’t require additional infrastructure.
Changing camera location doesn’t require additional infrastructure work and cost.
MarketThe market for video surveillance as a service is,
however, facing challenges with respect to the high infrastructure cost, this product can be the best solution for this problem.
Due to wireless system and ease of installation, this will be the perfect product compared to expensive video surveillance.
High demand for remote monitoring in agriculture sector
High demand for remote monitoring in wild life.
System can be used for any remote monitoring applications
Mobile/Tablet Apps can be developed for attracting the customers.

ConclusionA Video surveillance system for sophisticated
Farming application for real time purpose is very much required in the present days.
Using IP camera based system owners can know the
condition of their property from remote locations and also keep records. It is definitely an efficient surveillance system at farm to monitor.
It will be a cost effective product with broader market possibilities such as farming, forest security, home security, industry/retail etc.
Proposed product provides solution in a wireless, optionally handheld manner with larger scalability when compared to existing approaches.

IP Camera
IP camera is a combination of a camera and a computer. The camera can be connected directly to the network. It has built-in software for a web server, FTP server and e-mail client. Some advanced versions support motion detection and alarm input/output ports.
Difference between IP and CCTV Camera
Analog CCTV systems connect to a DVR (digital video recorder) using coax cables and BNC connectors (not networked).
IP Cameras connect directly to an existing Ethernet network. This connection could be wired or wireless and they can be accessed from anywhere.
FPGAA field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is
an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing—hence "field-programmable". The FPGA configuration is generally specified using a hardware description language (HDL).
Given the importance of digital image processing and the significance of their implementations on hardware to achieve better performance, this work addresses implementation of image processing algorithms like median filter, morphological, convolution and smoothing operation and edge detection on FPGA using VHDL language.
