Manifesting Experiment 2 : The 'Focus Blocks' Method

This posting is marked as Community Wiki since it is not a real question, but is just information. No-one willgain any reputation points from it.

IS THIS METHOD FOR ME?

To check if this is the appropriate manif esting approach to use in your particular lif e situation, f irst read theManif esting Experiment Guide

INTRODUCTION

The Focus Blocks Method, also known as Manifesting Experiment 2, is the sequel to Manif esting Experiment1. If you don't know what that f irst experiment is, then go and read through it just so you get some ideawhere this new method f its in and also so that you understand some of the phrases being used below.

When I started writ ing this method, I put a f ull explanation of why each step works in these instructions, butthe amount of text started growing rapidly.

And it seemed to me that it would be of f -putting and conf using to newcomers to be presented with a largeamount of manif esting theory when all they really wanted was a way of physically manif esting their desires.

So, instead, I've decided to strip out as much explanation as possible and just give you the method asbrief ly as possible.

Once you try the approach and experience the power of it, just ask any questions you have about themethod as separate (normal) Inward Quest questions, tagged as Manifesting-Experiment-2 and I'll answerthem as normal answers. Doing this will also provide the opportunity f or other people to answer as wellbased on their own personal experiences as they gain more manif esting experience.

If you want to see a list of questions that people have already asked about this method, just click on thetag in the gray box in the top right-hand corner of this page marked manifesting-experiment-2. (The graybox is t it led tagged)

I will use any f eedback f rom those questions and answers to improve (or rewrite) these instructions as theexperiment continues. Because I've been doing this f or a while, things that might seem obvious to me mightnot be so obvious to you. So please ask questions if anything is not clear.

If you want to see the amendments I have made to this written method in response to f eedback, just go tothe bottom of this posting where it says edited (next to where it says community wiki). Next to that word willbe the last t ime this posting was edited. If you click on that t ime, you will see all the revisions that havebeen made.

WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER METHOD?

Manif esting Experiment 1 works well when you are not too attached to the things you want, or you canf orget about them f or a while.

But of ten that is not the case.

Sometimes you just can't let go enough of what you want to allow it to come to you.

In those cases, you are really lef t with no choice but to deal with your f eelings about what you want directly.Once you f eel better about what you want, you will not be standing in the way of it coming even if you dothink about it.

The other major reason that a process like this is needed is much less obvious...

The vast majority of your personal vibrational offering (which the Law of Attraction responds to)comes from the little things in your life

Huh? Did I say lit t le things?

Yes, I surely did. :)

It is actually mostly those lit t le things that keep you unhappy and miserable and leave you wondering whyyour lif e is not the way you would like it.

They are things like the annoyance of getting stuck in traf f ic, or perhaps your partner keeps leaving the topof f the toothpaste tube, or perhaps you are annoyed that your boss never says thank you when you dosomething f or them and so on...you probably have hundreds of those lit t le things in your lif e right now thatare pulling you down on a daily basis without you even realizing it.

Each one of these things taken by itself doesn't really af f ect you that much so you may not pay muchattention to them.

But taken together, they are creating an enormous drag on your health, wealth and happiness.

It 's not that they are somehow combining together into something bigger and badder, it 's just that all thoselit t le things keep holding you consistently in bad-f eeling places on a regular basis which, in turn, stop otherthings you want f rom coming.

Sometimes those lit t le things have so much collective power that you may not even see any more what isbothering you...you just have a general gnawing sense of anxiety about your lif e and you have no idea at allwhat to do about it.

This process will deal with all of those lit t le things (and the big things too) and it will clean up many ofthem at the same time!

STEPS IN THE PROCESS

This diagram shows the f ive steps in this overall approach. Notice that we are only actually using TheFocus Blocks Method in Step 3.

The reason f or the other steps is to make sure you integrate this method into your daily lif e.

The things that are troubling you in your lif e did not come out of nowhere overnight. They actually cameabout a litt le bit everyday with more and more signs of manif estational force until, one day, you ended upwith a clear (and perhaps painf ul) manif estation of something that you really didn't want.

Wouldn't it have been better if you had cleaned up those litt le signs of discomf ort early on bef ore anysignif icant bad-f eeling manif estations ever got started?

Well that is what this method is going to do f or you...f or the rest of your lif e :)

Now let's look in more detail at each step.

STEP 1

This step should be f airly obvious. Just carry something around with you f rom now on in which you cannote down anything that is bothering you, even if it doesn't seem that bad right now. Remember that we arecleaning up all these things bef ore they even really get started.

So whenever anything happens in your lif e that bothers you a bit, write it down to deal with later in a FocusBlocks session.

STEP 2

When you have some time, create some ready-to-use Focus Blocks f or the things that are bothering youf rom Step 1. (You can also do this step together with the next one if you want)

Here is what a completely empty Focus Block looks like...

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

And here is what a Focus Block that is targeted to a particular Focus Block Topic, and is now ready f oruse, looks like...

You can create your own layout for Focus Blocks (either on paper or on a computer) or you can download apdf version here of the one above. You can also download an editable Microsoft Excel spreadsheetversion of this Focus Block

Notice, f irstly, (f rom the top diagram) that you can have many Focus Blocks on one page. If you areimplementing this idea electronically, you can actually have all your Focus Blocks for a single topicone af ter the other on just one page or in one document.

If you are using paper, you can use as many sheets as you like but try and keep them grouped togetherbecause you will discover later that Focus Blocks are linked to each other. For a paper-based approachthen, it might be a good idea to use a loose- leaf f ile or f older into which you can insert more pages asnecessary.

Secondly, notice that the only dif f erence between the f irst diagram and the second diagram are the twolines that have been completed in the second diagram.

You can see the top line is f illed in against the question What is bothering me?, while the second line is f illedin against the question So how do I want to feel instead?.

A Focus Block that has these two lines completed is now considered ready for use f or the Focus BlocksMethod in Step 3.

So how do you complete the two lines?

The f irst line f or What is bothering me? is easy enough to complete. It 's just an expanded version of whatyou wrote in your notebook in Step 1.

You may have written in your notebook originally "don't seem to have enough time to do stuff".

You now just expand this out and write something like I don't have enough time to do everything I want.

The second line So how I do want to feel instead? is really just the opposite of the the f irst line.

This should be easy enough to f igure out. When you clearly know what you don't want, it should then beequally clear what you do want instead.

But there is something to watch f or here...all we are doing with this process is changing the way you f eel.We are not actually manif esting anything.

Yes, it is true that once you change your f eeling about something, it will manif est dif f erently, but the onlything we are f ocusing on right now is changing that f eeling.

So, in the example above, the opposite of I don't have enough time to do everything I want is something likeI want to feel like I have the time to do the things that are important to me.

There is no right or wrong with how you write your description of what you want. Just write it in your ownwords using language you are comf ortable with, and make it as brief as possible...just a sentence is ideal. You are going to use this sentence to guide yourself while you use the Focus Block Method in the nextstep.

STEP 3

Focus Blocks vs Focus Wheels

Bef ore you can use The Focus Blocks Method, you need to understand the concept that Focus Blocks arebased upon...Focus Wheels.

The Focus Wheel process is a method devised by Abraham to deliberately shif t your f eeling about anysubject into a better place.

If you have no idea what a Focus Wheel is, go and look through these resources f or learning how to createFocus Wheels.

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

The yellow circle at the top is a Focus Wheel and the block of sentences below it is a Focus Block.

Regarding the diagram...note that the Focus Wheel shown is on a dif f erent subject to the Focus Blockshown so that's why the sentences within them don't match up. Apart f rom that, they are the same thing, just in a dif f erent layout.

Having this dif f erent layout allows us to use them in more practical ways, as you will see shortly.

However, because the Focus Block is still also a Focus Wheel, then all the knowledge you have learned tocreate Focus Wheels in the past (if you have f ollowed Abraham previously) still applies.

The Focus Block Method

You now have enough knowledge to understand the Focus Block Method.

I am assuming you now have a stack of ready-to-go Focus Block Topics in f ront of you either in paper orelectronic f orm.

You will also need some way of randomly-choosing the next Focus Block Topic to deal with.

You can probably achieve this ef f ect by rolling a single die. If thenumber comes up 1, then choose the next topic in your stack towork on, if it comes up 2 choose the topic that is two down, andso on.

It doesn't matter how you randomly choose your next topic aslong as your chosen method will eventually get you to look at allthe topics.

If you just rely on yourself to do the choosing, you will eventuallyf ind that there are some topics you will keep avoiding...therandom number approach makes sure you deal with even thoseuncomf ortable topics.

So, now, here is the Focus Blocks Method...

Make a commitment to yourself that whatever the next topic that is randomly chosen, you are goingto write at least ONE statement of belief onto the Focus Block. If you can't make this commitmentbef orehand, don't play the game right now. You want to build up an unbreakable habit within yourselfthat if you choose a topic, you are always going to write at least one statement.

Go to the Focus Block Topic chosen and write at least ONE statement of belief that gives you relieff rom the starting statement of the Focus Block. To come up with these statements of belief , just usethe same process as you would f or coming up with the next statements f or a Focus Wheel.

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

You can carry on playing with that Focus Block (writ ing those statements) f or as long as you f eelyou want to. Some topics you'll be happy to play with, others you may f ind that you want to get awayf rom as quickly as possible! Don't worry about these uncomf ortable topics. The method will keepbringing you back to push them a litt le f urther t ime and again until eventually you make a break-through and suddenly f ind yourself f eeling so much better about them

Once you've had enough of playing with the topic, you can now randomly choose another FocusBlock Topic or you can stop playing this Focus Blocks game. This means that even if you have only asingle minute to spare in your day, you can still be shif t ing your f eelings about things into better-f eeling places. Your current f eelings about this subject probably came about in t iny, incremental stepswith you hardly noticing the change...we are now using that same tiny-step-by-step idea to put thesechanges back under our own conscious control

Whenever you reach the 12th statement on any Focus Block Topic, you'll notice that the next linesays Best-Feeling Thought From This Block. At this point, you need to make a decision about whetherthis Focus Block Topic needs any more vibrational work or not. You do this by reading over all theprevious 12 statements in the current Focus Block. Choose the one that f eels the best to you rightnow and write it in that box. You can consider that statement to be the most powerf ul declaration ofbelief within that block.

Here is what a completed Focus Block looks like...

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

If the Best-Feeling Thought leaves you f eeling good then you can, if you want, just f ile the block awaysomewhere saf e and not use it any f urther in the Focus Blocks Method...you've done enough now to cleanup that vibration (though you can still take it f urther if you want, see Step 4 below which looks at theEmotional Guidance Scale).

If you want to continue with the method f or this Focus Block Topic, just consider your Best-FeelingThought to be the starting point f or the next Focus Block on this subject.

Each Focus Block is a litt le reusable vibrational tool that, if you ever f all back to f eeling as though thestarting statement is true again, then by reading the statements in this block, you will always be able toquickly lif t your vibration back up to the Best-Feeling Thought again.

STEP 4

If the Best-Feeling Thought you have just written leaves you f eeling good, what you want is on its way tomanif esting. The better you f eel, the quicker it will come. You don't need to do any more work on the FocusBlock Topic than this.

You can just go ahead and clean up other f eelings on other topics instead.

However, if you want your manif estation to come even f aster, you can push your f eeling about anyparticular subject even higher.

Look at the diagram below.

On the Emotional Guidance Scale diagram above, if you can move your f eeling regarding what you want intothe Green Zone (Feeling Good area), you are no longer standing in the way of what you want even if youthink about it alot.

If you can move your vibration up to Hopef ulness, you will now start to see vibrational matches regardingwhat you want.

Once you move your vibration up to Positive Expectation/Belief and above, it is on the verge of physicallymanif esting if it hasn't already.

The way you judge where you are on the Emotional Guidance Scale is to look at the best- f eeling thoughton the last Focus Block you did and think about what emotion it stirs up within you. Then try and see whichemotion is closest to it on the Emotional Guidance Scale.

If you are still not sure, write out a f ew sentences about what you want without thinking too long. Thenlook over the sentences and consider what overall emotion they are conveying to you. I call it taking anemotional temperature reading :)

Another method is to just talk to a f riend f or a f ew minutes about what you want. It should be very clearwhere your emotional setpoint (f eeling about the subject) is.

STEP 5

You will never run out of new desires. The Universe is geared up to keep generating them within you.

Unf ulf illed desire is good f or you...it makes lif e energy f low through you. It makes you f eel energized andalive and passionate. Desire is what lif e is all about so you might as well get used to the f act that you willalways have more and more Focus Blocks to play with. :)

And you now have at your disposal one of the most powerf ul methods f or manif esting that exists...even ifyou don't realize it yet.

If you want to share any success stories you have had with this method, you can do so by posting ananswer below.

There are some more advanced techniques that you can use with Focus Blocks and I will publish these inthe near f uture once you've had a chance to play with this method.

Happy manif esting!

UPDATE

One of the advanced techniques I mentioned above is to intersperse Positive Aspects lists in between yourFocus Blocks. This extension to the Focus Blocks Method is described here.

UPDATE 2

One of the things I've noticed people doing (which I don't do) is only having a few Focus Blocks around af ew subjects. I would think this makes the method more dif f icult to apply.

I don't keep track of exact numbers but I seem to have about 100 available Focus Blocks to play with at anyone time so I never quite know what is going to come up and of ten the same subject doesn't come up f ordays (perhaps even weeks) depending on the luck of the random selection and how much time I spend withthe method.

So, f or me, the method is always f resh, f un and surprising. I suspect that if you only had a f ew FocusBlocks and they kept re-appearing too of ten, it may get f rustrating and annoying to keep dealing with thesame f ew subjects.

If you are having problems with the method try increasing the number of Focus Blocks you have.

Unless you are deliberately shutting yourself of f f rom experiencing everyday lif e (which I don't recommend),you should have no problem accumulating data f or your Blocks.

UPDATE 3

There is now another experiment in this series available f or you to try. Manif esting Experiment 3 - The'Vibrational Goal-Getting' method is all about taking aligned physical action to get what you want.

UPDATE 4

There is now a f ree computer sof tware version of the Focus Blocks Method available.

You can f ind out more about the Focus Blocks Spreadsheet here

UPDATE 5

This Focus Blocks method is actually part of a larger vibrational approach that I've been using f or severalyears that systematically gets you into the Vortex.

I call it the Advanced Focus Blocks Method.
