INVOC 2020 XMAS Maprun Event – Bught Park

Thanks all who took part in the Bught Park Xmas course. The infirmary foot bridge remained open,

and the little snow did not put off the last minute rush to complete the course. Those who read the

rules noted that there was a 5 minute reduction in your time to supply a photo and another 5 mins

to make a present in Bught Park – the combined picture looks great, although I’m sure Santa should

have delivered his presents by now! This made all the difference to the results. Some presents were

better than others, some taking 9 minutes to take special care in making their presents! Special

mention to Carolyn for her teddy bear, which was not quite what was asked for, but so complex

we’ll let her off. It’s amazingly hard to make a present with right angles and try to retrace your steps,

possibly the snow helped later competitors, or those more observant may have noticed the football

pitches at number 9 which provided a great layout, though not many used these.

had the best present - prize on its way!
