INVITATION TO SPEAKERS CALL FOR PAPERS
Event Description Deep Foundations Institute of India (DFI of India), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Indian Geotechnical Society, Chennai Chapter, will host DFI-India 2017: International Conference on Deep Foundations Technologies for Infrastructure Development in India in October 2017 at IIT Madras, Chennai, India. This two-day conference follows six successful DFI of India annual conferences since 2011 and will focus on emerging technology developments and case histories on deep foundations, deep excavations and ground improvement. Topics will include:
Mass stabilization Soil mixing Jet grouting Densification Grouting technologies Reinforcement (i.e. stone columns, cement columns) Liquefaction mitigation Drainage/dewatering Land, marine and offshore piling Deep excavation support
Papers of practical importance showcasing latest technologies in the areas of geotechnical investigation, analysis and design including seismic aspects, treated soil properties, computer software, tele-networking, instrumentation, testing, monitoring, installation/construction equipment and methods, with supporting data on improvement of quality, productivity, safety and sustainability shall be preferred. The conference will be of particular interest to contractors, developers, local and government representatives, designers, consultants and educators involved in geotechnical design and construction. Equipment, material and instrumentation suppliers, contractors and other vendors will present their products and services in the Exhibit Hall. The conference will be preceded by a one-day workshop. Abstract Submission Parameters and Requirements To be considered for a conference presentation, you must submit a full technical paper for review and acceptance. Please submit a 300-word abstract describing the proposed paper content. Authors of accepted abstracts will be required to adhere to the following schedule for submissions and be expected to personally make a presentation at the conference if selected. The conference proceedings will be provided online to all conference attendees as part of their registration fee where the papers can be downloaded and/or printed. Abstracts will be provided in the conference souvenir book.
