General background of the Workshop companies:

• Mekorot - Israel's National Water Company is the operational arm of the government of Israel for developing the water sector in Israel. Mekorot supplies 85% of Israel’s domestic consumption and 70% of the total water, provides advanced solutions in Israel and abroad , all 'under one roof', such as water management, hydrology & drillings, water treatment, water safety, desalination, wastewater treatment & reclamation and many more.

• Dow Water & Process Solutions offers a broad portfolio of ion exchange resins, reverse osmosis membranes, ultrafiltration membranes, particle filters and electrodeionization products, with strong positions in a number of major application areas, including industrial and municipal water, industrial processes, pharmaceuticals, power, oil and gas, residential water and waste and water reuse. Follow Dow Water & Process Solutions on Twitter and LinkedIn, and visit our website for more information.

• Toray Industries, Inc. Japan is a leading maker of fibers, textiles, resins, plastics, films, chemicals, ceramics, composite materials, medical products, and electronics. The Toray Group is an integrated chemical industry group developing its business in 26 countries and regions worldwide. The environment and engineering business is a global leader in water treatment membranes for Reverse Osmosis, Ultra-Filtration and Membrane Biorectors.

• LG NanoH2O - LG Chem designs, develops, manufactures and markets reverse osmosis (RO) membranes based on nanostructured materials and industry-proven polymer technology. The company has installed its SW and BWRO membranes in over 500 desalination plants across 50 countries.

• Rotec Ltd. - Rotec has developed an innovative desalination technology called "Flow Reversal" designed to be implemented in existing and new desalination facilities for brackish water and other industrial applications, enabling significant system performance improvements, leading to higher profitability, reduced operating costs and environmental impact associated with desalination.

• Desalitech - Desalitech’s closed circuit desalination (CCD™) technology was invested by Professor Avi Efraty who had a vision for a new type of desalination based on hydrostatic “closed circuit” pressurization/depressurization and batch-like high recovery operation. First patented in 2008 and now in use in commercial installations around the world, CCD technology is the first major improvement in the reverse osmosis process in decades.

• Amiad Water Systems Ltd. - Amiad Water Systems is a leading global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions. It has developed a range of innovative products and systems that provide sustainable solutions with low operating costs and a rapid return on capital investment.Since its establishment in 1962 in Israel, Amiad has grown to include nine subsidiaries with around 700 employees.
