As you know, Veterans live in every community in our country, with many of them returning home to rural areas after their military service. Many are unaware of the resources available to them through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: benefits they have earned through their service to our Nation. 

To help support the Veterans in YOUR community, you are cordially invited to a special training and networking event that will provide an overview of resources and introduce you to key contacts from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies that serve the Veterans in your great State. It is hoped this event will be a catalyst in joining efforts from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs with your agency and others like it to reach out and advocate for the Veterans in your community.

Our event aims to provide you as community leaders with a basic understanding of the range of VA services and benefits that may support the quality of life and health of Veterans and their families. These services include, but are not limited to, healthcare, disability compensation and pension, educational and vocational support, home loans, and burial and memorial benefits.

We will bring together a range of people representing organizations in your community to support Veterans in Brewster, Presidio, and Jeff Davis Counties and to help VA better understand what other agencies are already providing in services to Veterans to maximize our efforts and reach.

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send an alternate representative of your agency. Please feel free to disseminate the invitation to your colleagues who may have an interest as well.
