Pune, Maharashtra, India and Tuljaram Chaturchand College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Anekant Education Society's Organized by www.tccollege.org [email protected] The Postgraduate Department of Political Science of Tuljaram Chaturchand College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Baramati, Maharashtra, India) is organizing a National Seminar and also hosting the th 36 Maharashtra Political Science & Public Administration Conference on 'The Making of Modern Maharashtra (1818-2018) in the Context of th Colonial and Post-Colonial India' during 11-12 January 2019. The seminar will bring together a team of experts from different disciplines and walks of life to track the trajectory of modern Maharashtra in a broad national perspective by deliberating on various fields including politics, economy, society, culture, science, technology and environment. The central purpose of the seminar is to enrich the study of Maharashtra by focusing on hitherto unexplored themes and by drawing on new modes of analysis. The specific objectives are listed below. Invitation Exploring various facets of modern Maharashtra in comparison with regions of India. Bringing an interdisciplinary perspective to bear on the study of modern Maharashtra. Integrating contemporary theoretical frameworks into the study modern Maharashtra. Creating a national network of scholars interested in Maharashtra Studies. Making suggestions for the study of modern Maharashtra within and across disciplines. Publishing a volume of papers presented at the seminar. Objectives of the Seminar About the College Tuljaram Chaturchand College of Arts, Science and Commerce,Baramati established in 1962 with blessings of Jain Saint Sumantbhadraji Maharaj. It is run by Anekant Education Society, Baramati established in 1961. The college has been awarded the 'Jain religious minority status' in 2007 and its core philosophy is 'Siddhiranekantat' means Multidimensionalism. Keeping pace with modern trends in higher education, college has full- fledged UG courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Science along with Post Graduate courses in almost all the streams. For aspirants of higher studies, Ph.D. Research centers, vocational & add-on courses are also available. The college has been accredited for the Third cycle with A+ (CGPA 3.55) grade by NAAC, Bangalore. It has received the status of CPE from UGC (2016), along with Star College scheme (DBT 2016) and FIST scheme (DST 2016). The college is also recipient of the 'Best College Award' and 'Best Principal Award' (2017) from the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Today, Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Baramati stands tall, catering needs of more than 10,000 students from and around Baramati, & providing quality education and reshaping them into a responsible global citizen. The Postgraduate Department of Political Science of Tuljaram

Chaturchand College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Baramati,

Maharashtra, India) is organizing a National Seminar and also hosting the th36 Maharashtra Political Science & Public Administration Conference on

AbstractThe participants are requested to send abstracts on or before 15

November 2018. The abstracts should be typed maximum 250 words in

Times New Roman font in size 12 and line spacing 1.5 on sheet of A4 size

in MS Words and medium of Marathi & Hindi paper should use KrutiDev 10
