Invisible Hearing Aids

The hearing impaired have wished for

invisible hearing aids since the days of the

ear trumpet.

Children, who's social interactions are superficially honest, face the strongest

stigma, lowered self-esteemed and feelings of inferiority when required to wear

standard listening devices, crutches, and even glasses.

Though adults don't typically jeer and

tease one another in the boardroom,

many avoid wearing a BTE devices, if

possible.

Common BTE devices are

powerful listening instruments,

particularly for those with severe

permanent hearing loss.

Invisible hearing aids circumvent feelings of embarrassment and inadequacy in both

children and adults as they are designed to

be unnoticeable when worn.

Both CIC and ITC devices are small

enough to insert into some portion of the

ear canal, where most people cannot see.

This seems to give many a "license" to

wear listening instruments since for

all intensive purposes, it appears

that no device is being worn at all.
