Local Growth and Development

❖ Government investment: The Indonesian government have delivered on their promises of new roads, water ways and transport. The International airport is also in operation, seeing arrivals to Lombok from Perth and direct flights coming in from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

❖ Rapidly growing tourism: Lombok will benefit from the Indonesian government’s ‘10 Balis in 10 Years’ project, which aims to replicate the economic effects of tourism in Bali nationally, and raise their tourism GDP to 20%. Lombok is forecasted to receive a 26% increase in tourists.

❖ International events: The area will be hosting the MotoGP 2021, as the new race circuit has been completed in Mandalikaand will transform the area into a world-class tourist destination.
