It is easy to categorize this invasions as barbaric, oppressive and unconstructive to the culture of the sub-continent. Yet some invaders, namely the Kushans and the Mughals, sparked long lasting cultural and political changes that enhanced Indian society, and connected the sub-continent to the far reaches of the civilized world.
