How our Mind Works.

So…………

How does your mind work?

How can this information be used to help you to manipulate your own mind and to induce a state of deep relaxation?

Our subconscious mind is located in the primitive parts of our brain: the medulla oblongata and the limbic system.

Our conscious mind resides in the cerebral cortex and this is the area used for thinking and logical reasoning.

What is the difference between your conscious and sub-conscious brain?

How our Mind Works

How our Mind WorksHow our mind works. The conscious mind is the part of your mind that is responsible for logic and reasoning. Our conscious mind protects us and blocks, filters, distorts and deletes incoming information.

The subconscious mind is the part of your mind responsible for all of your involuntary actions like emotions, your heart beat and your breathing.

Your subconscious mind is also the storage area of all your beliefs and memories. Changing beliefs and unwanted emotions can be done through hypnosis; by sending suggestions to the subconscious mind.

How our Mind Works

There are 5 key occasions when your conscious mind hands over bodily control to your sub-conscience.

Can anyone tell me what these 5 occasions are?

Look what I can do!

• You can notice a certain sensation.• You are listening to the sound of my voice and you

can begin to relax.• You are breathing in and out and your are curious

about what you might learn.• As you sit there smiling, you can begin to go into a

trance.• You’re curious about hypnosis – you may be

wondering what I will say next.
