5G System Modelling Users can easily create complete 5G NR Systems, including multi-layer deployments and set

defined parameters. Ranplan Professional 5.2 includes over 900 preconfigured systems for 5G.

5G System Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) New 5G channels (SS, CSI, SRS, PDSCH) have been introduced to make it easy to carry out

coverage and capacity studies. Users also have the flexibility to create dedicated coverage and capacity KPIs for multi-RAT systems which can be calculated in Ranplan’s modular simulator, WNS, for further evaluation.

5G 3D Beamforming & Massive MIMO Enhanced 3D beamforming is supported for 5G NR performance prediction and

simulation. Improvements have been added to enable users to easily manipulate beamforming gains for different channels and antennas, enabling users change the values of gain based on real massive antenna models.

Support for massive MIMO up to 256*256 transmit/receive antennas. It supports all standard precoding methods and MU-MIMO.

5G Capacity Simulation

Ranplan Professional is a 3GPP standard compliant dynamic system level simulator capable of evaluating real world user QoE including throughput, SINR, delay, etc.

Ability to model both uplink and downlink system performance, especially important for bi-directional WiFi and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) can be evaluated.
