users as they access data on the CHRGIS site.

1. Select (Click on) the red dot under the words University Beachon the aerial photograph in the center of the screen

2. Select “Interactive GIS Portal” from the menu on the left side of the screen.This will open CHRGIS (Corpus Christi GIS) allowing you to select and comparedata sets.

Then click Go
3. Select “University Beach” from the pull down “ Restoration Site” menu at the top of the page then select
“Go” on the Explorer Browser NOT the website. Located at the right of the URL address window. Wait a minute for the menu selections at the left to upload.

4. The menu on the left shows data arranged according to date. Aerials are listedSeparately from other data(Note: multiple aerial images can not be viewed simultaneously).Each date will have the following selections (subject to availability):
• Shoreline (MHHW)• Elevation Survey• Elevation Contour• Sediment• Sediment Contour
Select desired databy clicking onbox next to data
Single or multiple selections from thesame or differentdates are allowed for all options EXCEPT Aerials
Click “Refresh Map”to revise screen display afteradding Dataselections
5. To activate data selection for query and Identification tools select the circlenext to the desired data. Only one menu selection can be active at a time.
To delete a selected data from the screen view select the box next to the data and then select “Refresh Map”

6. Example: You want to look at the first aerial photograph after construction (August 2001) and compare the shoreline position surveys from 2001 to 2005.

6. Example: Select August 2001 shoreline as baseline for comparison.
6. Example: Select each subsequent date up to April 2005. Shorelines can be added or deleted to focus on shorter or longer temporal change. You may add as many shorelines as you like.
