Begin a New Podcast 1. Open GarageBand using the Dock, Spotlight, or the Finder.

2. Choose Create New Podcast Episode.

3. In the Save As dialog box, type a name for the Podcast and choose a location.

Record Audio 1. Choose Female Voice or Male Voice.

2. Press the Record button to record your voice.

3. Press the Space Bar on the keyboard to stop recording.

Ducking Automatically lower the volume of music throughout the voice recording. 

1. From the Control menu, select Ducking.

2. To turn off Ducking, repeat step 1.

Add a Jingle 

1. Select the Jingles track.

2. Click on the Loop Browser icon to display the Loops window.

3. Choose Jingles.

4. Select a Jingles category.

5. To preview a Jingle, click once on its name and again to stop.

6. Drag the chosen Jingle to the Jingles track.

7. The Jingle may be dragged left or right on the track to adjust where it plays in the podcast.

Adding Pictures 1. Drag an image to the Podcast track, in line with the matching narration.

2. Extend the length of time that the slide is displayed by clicking and dragging on the end of the slide.

3. To display an image as the image that represents this podcast, drag the image to Episode Artwork.

Creating Chapters (to allow the user to jump to a certain point) 1. Click on the appropriate Chapter Title.

2. Type the description to be displayed.

3. Press Return on the keyboard.

Adding URLs (to be displayed during the podcast) 1. Click on the appropriate URL title.

2. Type the title to be displayed.

3. Click on the appropriate URL.

4. Type the address of the website.

Share the Podcast 1. From the Share menu, choose Send Podcast to iTunes.

2. Type an iTunes Playlist name, an Artist name, a Composer name, and an Album name.

3. Click Share.
