Page 10: INTRODUCTION TO MEASURING SDG 16

How to improve SDG data availabil i ty in the region?

• Participate in annual data collection: UN Crime Trends Survey

→2021 questionnaire was sent to national focal points in early June

• Share existing administrative data on homicide, prison, trafficking

• Conduct household/victimisation survey to produce key indicators on corruption, violence, access to justice

Page 12: INTRODUCTION TO MEASURING SDG 16

Objectives of the regional training

o Strengthen the technical capacities of the

authorities and the coordination between

producers and users of data to generate,

analyze and disseminate the SDG 16

indicators;

o Strengthen the organizational framework

and promote a "data community" among

data producers and users for the

exchange of experiences and challenges.
